Loved our stay at the Shiba Park Hotel. Staff could all speak english very well and were so friendly and welcoming, even have a bar full of rugby memorabilia which is our favourite sport here in New Zealand. Close to the subway station so found it easy to get around as well. Breakfast was part of the package and it... More

Our first taste of Japan and a good one. Tokyo is that big its hard to say what is central, but its in a good location - handy for the Tokyo Tower and nit far from tube lines. Breakfast was both hot and cold and was quite varied you could have veg, rice and chips as well as the usual.... More

Did look at TA reviews but still not organised re locating Shiba Park. However, with helpful folk from Yokohama JR line to Shinagawa to Hamamatsucho we did get there. 10mins from the hotel and nobody new where it was, so we took a taxi from Hamamatsucho North exit. Yes, it is just out the station, head out to the left... More

Room was fine, nice, quiet location with good access to local stations which were easy to navigate. The best bit by far were the staff. Super helpful and my 11 year old daughter ended up spending most of the day learning Origami with Yuka. This was a free cultural activity that the hotel offered - they also have sushi making,... My family stayed at the Shiba Park Hotel Sept. 14-16 and were impressed by the level of customer service and amenities. Check-in was hassle free, and Mey (the receptionist) made sure we had all we needed, even carrying our bags up to the room. The (triple) room was a good size for Japan and smelled fresh. Loved the white sheets... More

The rooms were quite small, but that is common in Japan. They are cleaned everyday and they even have kimono's and slippers you can use. You can compare the bathroom with a camping bathroom; really small and made of plastic. It contained a Japansese toilet and a bath so small you can only sit in it ( I am 1.55m... More

The hotel staff were extremely helpful from check in to check out. The rooms were clean but the bathroom was extremely small only one person at a time. Would have to be one of the quietest hotels we have stayed in, no traffic noise and no noise in the hallways. Centrally located within walking distance to the train and bus... More

I was a little disappointed in the room - it was in the annexe and was rather dull and run down - first impressions of the reception etc. was what a lovely hotel but as I say the room was not at all good - pillows and beds hard - bathroom cramped. Having said that the location was good and... More

Fantastic service and it's rooms were nice as well. It's location is great, close to many restaurants and stations. Not so far from Tokyo Tower as well so that makes the location wonderful. Employees were helpful, spoke decent English and were very polite. Never had chicken nuggets for breakfast before or Shrimp Pilaf but they were options for breakfast in... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We want our guests from overseas to understand more about Japan, to fall in love with our country, and to experience the true meaning of Japanese hospitality, which we call “omotenashi. ” So what can we do to accomplish that?
