My first impression was that I was given a staff room. Small, dark and lacking. Then I figured the hotel's market was mostly domestic business travelers, ergo no iron & ironing board, mini bar or international tv channels. All understandable, but not the odour in the bathroom (sewage-related I guessed). I will complement the staff, however, all very pleasant and...

This is a nice hotel located in Tokyo area. We were upgraded to a superior room upon arrival. The staff at the hotel were welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and big. The only negative point about this hotel is its location. The shuttle bus offers free travel to the Shinagawa train station in the morning. No shuttle bus...

Have stayed in this nice hotel few times with the family of two kids as we used to live in Tokyo very near this hotel. Its a bit far from most of the places you want to visit or see in Tokyo. We always had a car so it was not a problem. Station may be about 10 minutes walk...

We redeemed points as a family to stay at this hotel for vacation, and I have no complaints. The concierge was very willingto help us figure out how to get around the city and see the thigns we wanted to see. And even though we were not close to any major tourist attractions in Tokoy, there is a shuttle leaving...

I stayed here for business during my recent trip to Tokyo. The hotel is located in a nice area (Shirokanedai) and the subway stop (of the same name) is approximately 5 min walk. The closest JR station is Meguro Yamanote line which is about 20 min walk (uphill). In the evening, it can be a nice stroll back to hotel....

I really enjoyed this wonderful hotel .It is a great bargin in a city that hotels of this caliber can run 3 to $400 a night . Very confortable and quiet . A shuttle bus runs from Megaro to the Hotel about every 20 minuets .They serve a wonderful buffet breakfast every morning . There is a beautiful Japanese garden...

This is a wonderful hotel with a beautiful Japanese Garden. Their breakfast is the one of the best I had around the world. Bedding is of course very comfortable being Sheraton group. Location is in a more residential quiet area and subway is not that close, but don't worry, they run complimentary shuttle bus to the closest subway station which...

After staying here on 3 separate occasions, I decided to write a review about this hotel. The hotel is placed very close to the Tokyo Metro "Shirokanedai station" which is the biggest plus point because traveling around Tokyo in a Taxi is extremely expensive. The hotel has very good rooms, especially the ones on the SPG floor. The lighting is...

Since my trip last year, the hotel has not changed much, was built in 1979 and cannot hide its age, in particular the bathroom is pathetic... That said, it still is conveniently located, although one needs taxi of shuttle for restaurants/supermarkets as there's really nothing nearby. Only real point I want to emphasize this time is the concierge service... in...

Firstly, I would like to comment on the location. There really is no "Central" Tokyo, as there are different things to do in each part of Tokyo. That being said, this hotel is in a fine location. It is hardly noisy, and there is a free shuttle that goes to and from the nearest JR station (Meguro). That being said,...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighborhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
