The hotel is quite big and situated on the artificial island Odaiba. Since it is not directly in the city center the rooms are very spacious for Tokio standards. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. You have an amazing view on Odaiba and the city. The Grand Nikko is close to the Tokio Big sight (huge, stylish exhibition... More

Stayed 2 nights at start of Japan tour. Very comfortable and well equipped rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast was included in restaurant on top floor with amazing views of Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge. Very well located with several large shopping malls, including earring places, within 5 minutes walk. These are necessary because the hotel restaurants were very expensive. Away... More

Pro's: Good location, close to four shopping malls where locals shop, good hotel service, scenic (in terms of bridge and city views). Cons: Swimming pool charges has to go, lobby buffet (Dinner) not worth it, Tips: Do not tip in Japan. It is included and may be considered offensive, Convenience store outside hotel is open 24 hours and good value.... More

We have booked this hotel because it has a pool; summers in Tokyo are hot, we had up to 38 ° C! We have never seen that as a guest of a hotel we would have to pay $ 26.00 per person to enter the pool area, even kids above 11 years! This unconvenient situation was even topped by the... More

After booking two night via Hotels.com I notice some reviews said they were surprised that they were charged a fee to use the pool. Mind you there is absolutely no reference to a fee on hotels.com and none I could find on TripAdvisor. So I called and indeed they charge extra to use the facilities there. So I was charged... More

Travelers: Family of 3 Room Selected: Superior Twin Room 1939 During our recent stay at the Grand Nikko Daiba, we found the hotel to be very pleasant and the staff was friendly and very outgoing. Check-in was handled smoothly without a wait and our room was ready earlier than expected at 2pm. Our selected superior twin room was well appointed... More

We booked a room to accommodate my wife and I plus our two boys. The room was great; lovely views across the bay and down to the area by the Aqua shopping mall. Beds were comfy and the boys particularly liked the fact that a Pokestop was accessible from the room! Within a five or ten minute walk you could... More

One of the hotels that does impress you first time. Coming to the hotel with the above ground rail is easy and convenient. Breakfast is served at two locations. We opted for the top floor with a city view. It gets crowded but view is nice. One of the better hotels during our stay in Japan.

We only stayed here for a couple of nights over the weekend but it was a great location for sightseeing around Odaiba. Train station was right out the front door, a minute or two walk. We did find the restaurants to be extremely expensive. Luckily, there is quite a bit around you so go explore. The hotel is almost directly... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
