I have stayed here many times the last time was last week September 18th. I think the values was better when they were called grand Pacific La Daiba, but it is still a very luxury hotel with nice amenities and very close to shopping and the Yurikumomi monorail.

Our room was large, great shower, breakfast buffet was good, liked the JR connection to downtown.when checking in the porter staff was not ready for the bus, luggage not tagged,or receipts given. There in great shopping and restaurants right next to the hotel and the J R Station is right there.

When check-in, the receptionist let me show my credit card and told me this is just for a guarantee and I needn't pay now. But after copying my passport, she asked me if I can pay now. I guess intially she din't find I am a chinese because I was speaking in English but later she found I am a... More

Was there on business trip. Surprised at the room size .. Bigger than a usual Tokyo hotel room. Very near to train station but far from the central shopping belt like Shinjuku and Ginza. However there are big shopping complex with outlets like uniqlo which is within walking distance from hotel.

I am writing this while waiting in the lobby for our Airport Limousine bus back to Narita. We came to Japan to celebrate my husbands birthday and upon landing at Narita we were impressed by everyone's compassion and eagerness to help. The staff at Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba made us feel welcome and comfortable. We do not speak Japanese and... More

All moms need a holiday to sleep, see different perspective, take a breather to relax and recover. Enough to have energy to miss their family. Thankfully this was just the trip we got. The rates from trip was excellent. The rooms was enough for my sister and I. We got the most awesome view, staff speak great English because the... More

The hotel is quite big and situated on the artificial island Odaiba. Since it is not directly in the city center the rooms are very spacious for Tokio standards. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. You have an amazing view on Odaiba and the city. The Grand Nikko is close to the Tokio Big sight (huge, stylish exhibition... More

Stayed 2 nights at start of Japan tour. Very comfortable and well equipped rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast was included in restaurant on top floor with amazing views of Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge. Very well located with several large shopping malls, including earring places, within 5 minutes walk. These are necessary because the hotel restaurants were very expensive. Away... More

Pro's: Good location, close to four shopping malls where locals shop, good hotel service, scenic (in terms of bridge and city views). Cons: Swimming pool charges has to go, lobby buffet (Dinner) not worth it, Tips: Do not tip in Japan. It is included and may be considered offensive, Convenience store outside hotel is open 24 hours and good value.... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
