The Park Hotel Tokyo is located in Shiodome, which puts you close to the shopping district of Ginza, the Tsukiji Market, and Tokyo Tower. There is also plenty of good restaurants around the area. It's easy to get to from Haneda Airport as well as Tokyo Station, which makes it a good base if you're planning to take the Shinkansen to other parts of Japan. Located in an office tower, the hotel begins on the 25th floor. It's not large, but it's very elegant. There are also artwork displayed on all the floors, which I found to be a nice touch. The lobby features a lounge area with huge panoramic windows that affords you a great view of Tokyo Tower and the nearby skyline. There are rooms also with Tokyo Tower views, but sadly I didn't get a room on that side. The room itself is not very large. It's good enough for one person, but might be a bit of squeeze for two. Nonetheless, it's very cozy and comfortable and has all the amenities you would need. Location wise, it's near Shiodome and Shimbashi stations, which gives you access to a host of subway and train lines and makes movement across Tokyo very convenient. Nonetheless, the hotel is a bit of a walk from both stations and although the hotel website provides instructions on how to get there, it is a bit of a pain, especially if you are hauling luggage. Overall the hotel was clean, but I did find hair and strands of linen on the floor and on some of the furniture, so clearly the room could have been vacuumed better. Also the space behind the toilet and the gap between the toilet and the bidet is absolutely filthy and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Also, the hotel being close to the train stations, if you're facing that side you will hear the trains. It's not loud, but it's something to keep in mind.

This hotel has so much potential to be a great stay but I left underwhelmed. What were the positives? Modern, clean rooms, well appointed bathroom, great views. The unavoidable negatives? The train noise. This is the trade off to getting a great view and closeness to the train, I guess. But I did find the trains kept waking me up and it was a downer on my stay. The negatives the hotel can address? The breakfast limitation. I paid in advance for breakfast not realising it would be a very limited choice (see menu photo). I could not swap it for cereal or pancakes. I found this very limiting, so I bought my own cereal to eat in my room. The second unforgiveable negative was the 'no food available for purchase from the restaurant' at lunchtime. They allowed someone to book the whole restaurant and this precluded me from purchasing lunch that day. I did not want to leave the hotel premises that day for lunch (for personal reasons) and I assumed it would be ok to buy my lunch from the in-house restaurant. Wrong. Denied. Since when does a 4 star hotel, not make food available for purchase? I suppose I am also negative on this because of the high price paid. I previously stayed at a Sotetso hotel for a much lower price that had none of the negatives I experienced here. I would not stay at this hotel again.

It was overall a really good hotel, the rooms were nice and comfortable, there were good views and the staff were nice and helpful. It could get a bit busy at the restaurant so you might not be able to get a seat but it was really good

We stayed here both ends of our trip and a good location next to the station with good links. Also very near the gardens which we enjoyed on our first afternoon. Rooms have great views and very well appointed. First time breakfast was really disappointing as bad versions of eggs Benedict and a small portion of fruit and yoghurt but by second stay they had included a small Japanese buffet so much better. Good coffee machine on reception and lovely staff. We used the udon restaurant in the basement near shopping centre the first evening as so tired and delicious family run establishment. Excellent friendly staff and welcome drink voucher on arrival which was a nice touch.

A standard hotel in a good location, not far from Ginza shopping area and very close to the Shimbashi station which has good links to many key areas of Tokyo. There isn’t much in terms of amenities, the food is fairly average and the included breakfast was fine. A reasonable place to stay if you aren’t planning on spending a lot of time in your room.

We had a one night stay in Tokyo after flying in from Kyushu and before going to Fujisan, and I wanted to try another area to stay at in Tokyo as usual, so I booked the Park Hotel. The hotel reception is on the 25th floor, and the rooms are upwards from them. Its totally worth paying a little bit more, to have a room with Tokyo Tower view ! This is in my opinion by far the best thing about Park Hotel. We hardly couldnt go to sleep, we just wanted keeping enjoying the amazing view ! The rooms are comfortable and quite big for japanese standards. The breakfast (no buffet) was dissapointing, could egg benedict and horrible coffee. There are two subway/train stations (Shiodome and Shinbashi) right next to the hotel or in easy walking distance. As are many restaurants and bars. Ask the friendly staff for directions, as its really easy to get lost. They recommended us a great and "hidden" Shabu Shabu restaurant. Personally, I prefer to stay in Shinjuku, but for 1-2 nights in a different area, this is a good choice. The next time however, I would book it without breakfast.

Super hotel for our week-long stay in Tokyo. The location is great - close to two stations (Shimbashi and Shiodome) which makes visiting other areas but Minato itself is also fun. The food is great. The rooms are both spotless and comfortable. The staff can’t do enough for you - they’re first rate. The public areas are fantastic with a lot of good art, and fabulous views over the city.

really great location and is consistently between 20-40 minutes from almost all the major destinations in Tokyo. There are several train lines that are within walking distance to the hotel, and it was straightforward once you locate the hotel in the underground passageway. The hotel has great service, and great view of Tokyo tower and at times even Mt. Fuji! Our most recent trip was our 2nd time with the hotel and the experience was consistent with our first experience. I do want to mention that they only have 2 laundry rooms with 1 washing machine and 1 drying machine in each room. They are very small machines, and we noticed during our most recent visit that the drying machines didn't dry too well. The laundry machines also dispense their own soap so no need to buy soap at the Family Mart.

We stayed for four nights at this property. The positive aspects are: the hotel is in a great location just south of Ginza and from the hotel you can reach many interesting places either by foot or by hopping on the monorail. It is on floors 25-34 of a high-rise building and with that the noise level of the city is bearable. Last but not least the staff is very helpful. The negative aspects: The room was quite small, so is the bathroom. In other words, for a couple it is a stretch, especially when travelling with suitcases and rollerboards. One also hears the trains and subway at night...

We have stayed at the Park Hotel 3 times now and each time have really enjoyed the experience. The staff are friendly and helpful and the views are incredible. This time we chose to stay in a corner king room and this room had exceptionally big windows which made the view even more amazing! Sunset of Mount Fuji!! Wow!! Our room did feel a little tired and could do with an upgrade of carpet and bathroom facilities at some point in the future. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were great - so always a good nights sleep.
