I've been staying at the IC Tokyo and the IC Strings Hotel for several years. I tend to prefer the Minato location over the Strings Shinagawa due to the location. The hotel property is located in Akasaka, and is very close to Roppongi and the ex-pat Azabu-juban area and of course the bars and restaurants of Akasaka. This is a... More

I stayed overnight in weekend of mid December, 2013. The hotel is located in central area of Tokyo nearby commercial complex "ARK HILLS". Fortunately, I could have a complimentary early check in at noon. My stayed room number was 2106, which has a view of Tokyo Tower. The cutting edge room has one king size bed. The room was wide... Stayed 2 nights. Direct limo bus from Narita airport; about 80 min. 3000Yen each way. Bus arrived at the ground floor and check in was on the 2nd floor. Was warmly greeted upon getting off the bus and guided to the lobby. Check in was smooth and was given a room on the 14th. The room and bathroom were clean.... More

I came to Tokyo on a business trip and stayed at the ANA Intercontinental for 5 days. It was the perfect location and my office was a 3 minute walk down the block, so the location was perfect. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff was incredibly friendly. The concierge was a great resource for things to do... More

As a platinum member I was upgraded to the executive room at 23rd floor. Services are exceptional from check in to check out. Great hotel to choose from if you must stick with IHG properties. Full of culinary destinations around the hotel, even if you are hungry in the middle of the night and you declined to use the in... More

Stayed in Ana intercontinental for 2 nights in October and it was a very satisfying experience. Some of the prominent pro's are the spacious rooms (especially considering other hotels in Tokyo), the lavish breakfast spread, the strong wifi connection in the rooms & the location of the hotel which is seconds away from the metro station. Its quite convenient to... More

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and have found it to be excellent, the only thing that has made me mark it down to a 4 is the fact that the reception will not allow you to get a cash advance on your credit card (Amex) and when the ATM situation in Tokyo is the way it... More

I was in town for business for 1 week. My company gave me a budget of a hotel of under $250 a night and booked my room. They accidentally booked me on the smoking floor and it smelled like one big chimney and bathroom was 'so-so"! I upgraded immediately and they gave me a room on the 20th or 21st... More

I stayed in the Ana Intercontinental in December 2013 for 3 nights and initial impressions are very good. The hotel is on the popular shuttle bus route from the airport, with the dropoff at the hotel. The main lobby, reception and restaurants are well decorated and are grand. As for the rooms I was disappointed. The fixtures and decoration were... More

As expected, the ANA Intercontinental delivers on all the expectations. Very clean, tify and well put together! Rooms comfortable, gym well equiped and there is a nice pool area outside with a small garden. Restaurant serves good food, and there are lots of local places to eat withing a couple of minutes walk. Hard to fault, really.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
