Come March and i was summoned to Tokyo, Japan. Being an Intercontinental Fan, i scouted for the IHG properties in Tokyo and learnt that the ANA Intercontinental Tokyo is the biggest in terms of rooms in the world. So biggest it was to be and i land up at the Intercon to be warmly greeted by the hostess in a...

Stayed recently for 3 nights on a business trip. Location is very convenient and hotel even though seems to be fairly old is kept in very good shape. Rooms are nice though beds are tiny. Showers are great. Breakfast buffet was also very good. My main issue was service which I found quite poor. Checking in was a nightmare. I...

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
