We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour around Japan. It's based in a business district, and within walking distance of Tamachi station (which links all over Tokyo). There are loads of places to eat/drink/grab supplies from nearby too, some of which are really reasonable. The hotel itself is easy to find and shared areas are really nice. Staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient. The room itself was small but had everything we needed - lots of toiletries provided too. The people in the area were super-helpful and friendly too. We got chatting to a couple of people just eating dinner (mainly because we didn't have a clue what we were doing). Would happily stay here again!
Central location a few minutes walk from the Yamanote line. As first time visitors to Tokyo we cannot compare but we found the hotel perfect for us. Friendly welcome (English if necessary). Comprehensive choice for breakfast - more than satisfying. Comfortable bed (for us fussy sleepers). We will stay here again if we are lucky enough to come back to Tokyo.
Arriving tired in Tokyo, having prepaid for 9 nights at the Hotel Gracery Tamachi, Japan for myself, my wife and child, I was to discover they had fully booked their rooms that might accomodate 3 persons and there was no room which might accomodate us and my 8 year old daughter. Most hotels might have apologised. Not a bit of it. They insisted that they had only been told 2 people were attending (showing me an email which gave our 3 names), that it was everybody's fault but their own, that I should accept my lot and they had no room / spare bed for my 8 year old daughter. I showed them my booking confirmation from you which showed 3 persons were booked for the room. As it was by now late in the evening and faced with the choice of leaving my 8 year old child without a bed for the night, I offered to pay for an extra room for the nights they didnt have a 3 person room (which suddenly they could accommodate) and then spent 9 days room hopping to fit around their other bookings. Front desk service is what lets the hotel down - the staff speak limited English and struggle to provide the sort of basic service you might expect from a hotel - from wrong directions (on the metro) to spending ages trying to type up my bill when I asked to check out (a quarter of an hour later, I ran out of both time and patience and asked for it to be sent).…
We ´ve been in this hotel during 8 nights. It is confortable hotel (small room, as it is everywhere in tokyo, no surprise), the breakfast is really excellent, with a lot of various meals. Moreover, it is closed to tamachi train station, which is a key point to facilitate the visits (we went everywhere in tokyo from there, plus kamakura (lovely place to visit), and landmark tower in yokohama. So i really recommend this hotel, and i am sure i will come back another time here.
We loved the location of this hotel - it was in a quiet spot in Tokyo but close to everything and easily accessible. Clean, welcoming and friendly staff made it an enjoyable stay. The rooms (and beds) are small though - much smaller than other hotels in Japan we'd stayed in. But I think that's a general Tokyo thing. Would recommend on the basis of location (and a great breakfast) alone.
