Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.
We opted for a Queen room, which I think meant we had a little more space. The room was well-designed and decorated; very modern and comfortable. The bathroom was particularly good. Most importantly, however: the staff were extremely helpful during our stay, and even before...More
My company has an office in Minato-Ku, Tokyo. I searched all hotels for a reasonably priced room within 1 mile of my office, on our corporate travel site. All rooms were either sold out or $300+ a night. Went on hotels.com and found the Candeo...More
I would recommend this hotel to everyone who goes to Tokyo, great location right outside the subway. At night Roppongi is the place with more bars and the best clubs so you are in the perfect place to party and don’t have to spend any...More

Just remember that the night life is geared towards adults, so not much for you and the little ones to do together here in Roppongi. But safe for sure.

The metro is by far the cheapest option and it is just a short walk from Roppongi metro station to the hotel. You can get the Asakusa line from Narita airport and you change train once at Daimon station to the Oedo line and you get off at Roppongi. At Narita airport you can buy a one trip ticket at the metro station, or buy a Pasmo or Suica card (which you put money on and let’s you travel on all the types of transport in Tokyo and other cities as well).
