This hotel was previously known as Smile Hotel and Serviced Apartments Hamamatsucho. I've made a reservation directly from a Japanese website which offered cheap hotel rates as compared to the English version websites. The rate was pretty cheap for a hotel which is 10 mins walk from JR Hamamatsucho station. It was a long walk from the station and no doubt we survived with dragging our luggages. The staff were courteous, pleasant and accomodating. However, the room is decent for a couple and there were limited space for luggages. Bathroom is tiny but no complaints as it's Japan, you get what you pay for! There is a convenience store nearby, approximately 2-3 mins walk. It's pretty quiet at night, but no doubt it's safe! I would definitely recommend others to stay here. More
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
