The Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo is a true 5 star hotel, among the best in the world! If I could rate it higher I would. This wasn’t just a hotel, they offered my son and I an incredible experience. This was my third visit to the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo, and each time they’ve exceeded my expectations. Niko, the Room Manager, who I contacted prior to my stay by e-mail, always responded quickly and accommodated me like no other! He’s been there for all three of my visits and it’s wonderful to see the same smiling, friendly face. The service there is impeccable and so is the cleanliness. It’s like no hotel I’ve ever experienced before and I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world. The rooms are gorgeous, and generous in size, and the suites are magnificent! All with an outstanding view of Tokyo from every room, even the bathroom! The food was delicious and the overall ambiance of the hotel was lovely. Osamu Okazaki, the Assistant Manager and Shogo Shibuya, also an Assistant Manager helped us celebrate this very special occasion. I hadn’t seen my son, who lives in Tokyo, for 18 months due to the pandemic, so we were celebrating his birthday as well as our reunion. With the incredible assistance of the Mandarin Oriental staff, this was truly a special visit, one that I will always treasure.…
My biggest regret staying at the Mandarin Oriental is that it makes it harder to stay anywhere else. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable and the quality of the room (especially the bed) was top notch. What separates MO from other high end hotels are the little things. Knowing that we were bringing a toddler, the room was child-proof and there were toys and a kid-sized toothbrush waiting for us. Shout-out to Niko Penttinen who brought us to our room. Looking smart in his suit, he poured us glasses of champagne and patiently explained all the room amenities and electronics, making sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend the MO for anyone who wants a special stay while in Tokyo.
I stayed at Mandarin Tokyo before with family and had amazing stays. This time I stayed with friends. Shogo san helped us with the check-in and it was very smooth. The room was beautifully setup for us with amazing view and a bottle of Champaign, the perfect way to start the staycation with friends, thank you so much Niko! The dinner at Pizza Bar was incredible, huge thanks to Pao and Eita san for looking after us. The cocktails at the bar was great way to finish the day. Thanks to Nao san and Yee san for smooth check-out! Thank you all for such a great stay, will come back soon!
As the borders are slowly opening up, we're still reluctant to travel primarily because of our wild 20-month-old son. Staycation in Tokyo was a perfect idea! We were greeted so warmly by EVERY single staff as soon as we stepped in the hotel facility. Our son was so excited that he got his fingers stuck in the elevator door for a few seconds. As soon as he started crying, Chris-san (?) at the reception came to hand us a cold patch. We were so touched. Our room was child proofed and even a teepee was set up!!! Our son LOVED it and wouldn't leave. Fresh fruits, welcome drinks & handwritten message cards by Mr. Penttinen and Mr/Ms. Hwang in English AND Korean! Superb service and personal touch meant so much. We especially loved the bed and even looked it up on MO merch website. haha. Thank you so much for everything, MO!!!…
One of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed at! The service was wonderful and the hotel and location were perfect, very central to town and easy access to public transportation or cabs, The breakfast and restaurants were fantastic, we loved the hotel and didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend!
Wonderful and comfortable stay even with small children. Every hotel staff you meet is very professional and fun to interact with, but at the same time, chic and spacious room has a pass-through closet which allows to receive amenity without human contact, so the stay is more easier not just during Covid but also when you can't rush to open door while looking after children. Special thanks to.. Reception Kobayashi-san for smooth check-in and out Bell Girl Watanabe-san for swiftly delivering our suitcase Restaurant Reservation Kunimi-san for arranging wonderful course dinner In Room Dining Yamamoto-san for setting the heavy table nicely In Room Dining Fujii-san for a photo surprise Reservation team for assisting comfortable stay preparation Housekeeping team for preparing our "home" with sweet touch Chef team for amazing meal I was also very touched by the sustainability effort that the hotel is making such as wooden tooth brush, glass water bottles, and plastic free cosmetic kit. I hope this will continue on. …
Booked a one-night staycation for my partner and I. Great service from check-in to check-out, and the breakfast was sumptuous. Big shoutout to staff Nao Kobayashi and Niko Penttinen for ensuring we had a great experience at the Mandarin. They gave us a room with the perfect view of the expansive Tokyo skyline and also provided interesting recommendations of what to do around the city during Sakura season.
From check-in to check-out, the staff were on point, accommodating, and helpful in every sense. The food—room service dinner and in-room breakfast—did not disappoint; every dish was carefully crafted and thoughtful in taste and presentation. The room itself and amenities were nothing short of excellent, and we were given a room facing the Tokyo Sky Tree at check-in, which was very helpful as it was a rainy weekend and we spent the whole stay inside. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed, and would certainly like to stay at the MO Tokyo again if given the chance!
Stayed for one night and everything was just perfect. We started off with dim sum lunch at Sense. Everything was delicious, perfect view of Tokyo with Sky tree and the friendly service made the experience unforgettable. The room also had an amazing view overlooking Tokyo. It was attended to the very minute detail, very clean and had everything you can ask for. Next morning, we had breakfast as room service. Again everything was great but the breads were particularly good! We finished our stay with lunch at Pizza bar. Watching the chef make the pizza over the counter added a special touch to the delicious pizza. Loved the hand made ice cream as well. Overall we had a great relaxing time and hope to make another visit soon.
I always have a wonderful time here in Tokyo MO💕 We came here to celebrate our anniversary and Christmas. The hotel surprised us with the strawberry cakes after we checked in. It was very sweet and thoughtful of them❤️ The bed was super comfortable!🤩We really had a relaxing and good time here!😊 Will definitely visit again
