You know when you stay at a Mandrin Oriental it will be top notch. The rooms are very well appointed with everything you could possibly need. The bed is hard but they seem to be all over Japan. The service is excellent. It is quite expensive but a great experience.

The Peninsula in Tokyo was always my favorite until I stayed at the Mandarin this month. 5 star service doesn't even do it justice! They nailed every request and reservation. Gorgeous, spacious rooms, great bathrooms and products. Beds in Japan are usually on the firm side and this is no exception but its not terrible. I would like to see... More

I stayed here because Peninsula Tokyo was full. The hotel is perfect, amenities were great. They even provided my room with Yoga mat, first time I see this in hotels. Breakfast is perfect as well. But for the price I paid, I think location is not the most ideal as it is far from all the major shops, except for... More

Great hotel, well located, near a train station, absolutely beautiful and the people that work for the hotel are amazing, very helpful and extremely nice. The room was beautiful with big windows and amazing view of mount Fuji. Highly recommended.

Next time i'm in Tokyo I will definitely be staying here again. All in all incredible hotel, with staff who go out of their way to help you. Views, food, rooms all great. Especially loved the bar with live music, which was buzzing in the evening and a perfect place for a nightcap after a busy day. Also, there is... More

The location used to be just a financial district with a few very old shops, now the hotel is surrounded by many new shops (in the COREDO 1/2/3 buildings next door) and restaurants (the old 100-year old stores are still there and worth exploring). Of course, there is always the Mitsukoshi department store next door (the food hall at the... More

We stayed at the here for a quick mini-break to explore Tokyo and enjoy a luxurious break after a very busy and stressful year. It was the perfect choice. Rooms are beautifully appointed - functional and very, very well maintained. Views are spectacular - particularly from the spa (treat yourself and do at least one treatment there - and make... More

A beautiful hotel with sincere and gracious service. Having stayed with several of Tokyo's top tier hotels, the MO is hands down the best for overall product. I really enjoyed the early morning complimentary use of spa facilities.

We spent a lovely two nights here on a whirlwind tour of Tokyo. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The room was beautiful and comfortable and lacked nothing. The service was impeccable, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The restaurants were great. We had the breakfast buffet both days, and it was one of the finest we've... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic.
