If you like a San Francisco way of life, choose this hotel. Small room, shaby tapestry, a bathroom as little as possible, a restaurant with a restricted menu, well this is your hotel. The best aspects are: very well located and very gentle personnel.

We have absolutely no knowledge of the Japanese language. Prior to leaving Aistralia we emailed the hotel to find out what exit would be the most appropriate to transfer from the Tokyo train station to the hotel. At a ticket counter we purchases tickets for the NEX (Narita express) to Tokyo. After a journey of approximately one hour we arrived... More

Neat and tidy with good reception etc. Great location and thats the main draw really. i popped into the restaurant for a quick bite an hour before it was due to close. the 3 course option seemed tempting and there it was - a darn good French cuisine meal served up like lightening. Tokyo always amazes and it got the... More

It's been 8 years since my last stay. The hotel is not as clean as before though still OK for a business trip. Convenience is still the advantage as it is located in Ginza and near the Tokyo Station. Breakfast is not bad. The chocolate croissant is delicious! Room size is also comfortable though the pillows are rather uncomfortable. Reception... More

we never expected to stay a room this size in Ginza area. we used to stay in some Japanese hotels, the room size is only for sleep. but this room is quite spacious, really beyond our expectations. the breakfast is also good, meet both western and oriental needs. the hotel is in the heart of Ginza area, walking distance to... This is convenient for central Tokyo - near to the main station and handy for several underground lines. The hotel is comfortable, small rooms, but perfectly acceptable. Breakfast is good - with plenty of emphasis on Mercure's french connection.

We stayed at this hotel twice, at either end of a cruise around Japan. The hotel has an excellent location for enjoying the shopping and restaurants in the Ginza area, and for getting around Tokyo. The hotel itself is adequate, with only rooms and a restaurant/bar, but for most people that's all you need. What sets this hotel apart from... More

Great well priced hotel in a fantastic location in the shopping heart of Tokyo - Ginza. Rooms are smallish but are clean and well serviced. Very good value. Breakfast is fairly basic but it does the job. Great restaurants nearby though for lunch and dinner. Highly recommended hotel. Staff speak English and are great providing assistance with directions and things... More

Spent a night with 3 female adults & 3 children with lots of big bags - it was an excellent experience. We were all impressed with the comfortable and neat rooms plus excellent service. I was recommended the Mercure Ginza for a short stopover in Tokyo on the way to Okinawa. Relatively easy to find and in a very upmarket area we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and facilities. No cramped box room, our twin bedroom was roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was sublime and the best I have had in... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
