Gosh - how quickly a month passes by in the Ginza! This year we stayed at the Mercure Ginza for our third consecutive year and must admit that you will not find a better base for a holiday in Tokyo. We have found that our holidays here are relaxed and we feel safe wandering around the area at any time,... More

A few minutes walk to Ginza's elegant main strip. Underground access to hotel from subway. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores within minutes walk. Good size rooms and bathroom. There's no day spa - caters for business travellers, flight crews and tourists on the go. And it was quiet at night for sleep. Perfect base for talking this side of... More

Right on top of Ginza-Itchome station, and 1 minute walk away fro Ginza station (This has many more subway connections). Nice sized rooms, comfortable, and clean Lots of places to eat and cafe's nearby, as well as convenience and food stores. Hotel went out of their way to help me recover an item I had left in a store 2... More

Excellent hotel and great vantage point to get out an about in Tokyo. Located in the beautiful Ginza area the hotel is ideally situated above the subway. The rooms are great size and the hotel has a lovely restaurant. The hotel is perfect for that sigh seeing holiday.

If you like a San Francisco way of life, choose this hotel. Small room, shaby tapestry, a bathroom as little as possible, a restaurant with a restricted menu, well this is your hotel. The best aspects are: very well located and very gentle personnel.

We have absolutely no knowledge of the Japanese language. Prior to leaving Aistralia we emailed the hotel to find out what exit would be the most appropriate to transfer from the Tokyo train station to the hotel. At a ticket counter we purchases tickets for the NEX (Narita express) to Tokyo. After a journey of approximately one hour we arrived... More

Neat and tidy with good reception etc. Great location and thats the main draw really. i popped into the restaurant for a quick bite an hour before it was due to close. the 3 course option seemed tempting and there it was - a darn good French cuisine meal served up like lightening. Tokyo always amazes and it got the... More

It's been 8 years since my last stay. The hotel is not as clean as before though still OK for a business trip. Convenience is still the advantage as it is located in Ginza and near the Tokyo Station. Breakfast is not bad. The chocolate croissant is delicious! Room size is also comfortable though the pillows are rather uncomfortable. Reception... More

we never expected to stay a room this size in Ginza area. we used to stay in some Japanese hotels, the room size is only for sleep. but this room is quite spacious, really beyond our expectations. the breakfast is also good, meet both western and oriental needs. the hotel is in the heart of Ginza area, walking distance to... Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
