Ginza is a fantastic area, front clean streets to helpful Japanese. The area is best veiwed at night when the building become alive with lights. They are some great bars and restaurants, in fact so many it was have to choose at times. We stayed for 3 nights but should have stayed from 3 weeks. The hotel offers a Japanese...

Arrived into Tokyo (booking this place as we want through immigration) and this was a great find. It was easy to travel to from the station and in an area with lots happening. It was a good stepping off point for shopping, walking up to the Imperial Palace and also a direct subway train to larger areas for bars etc....

The hotel receptionist arranged for our transfer to Hotel Monterey Ginza because their rooms couldn't accommodate 3 persons (without extra charge except for the extra bed). They found a way to help us even if it was our fault for not checking if 3 persons can fit it their rooms.

Booked this on the day so was a good price. Hotel room is very small but perfectly comfortable. Good shower and toiletries provided. Good location in a nice district, lots of nice restaurants nearby. Convenient but nothing special.

Hotel very nice located in Ginza close to the main road. We had a room with 2 single beds and we had to leave our baggage in the entrance cause we had no room near the beds. You can have breakfast in the restaurant San Michele on the ground floor or at the hotel Monterey close by. We only tried...

Stay 2 nights with family. Arrived from Narita & took limousine bus, alight at Courtyard by Marriott bus stop & took 800 meters walk to hotel. Check-in is a breeze. We can get 2 rooms in same floor & opposite to each other. Towels, bed sheet, bath room is super clean. Heater works fine in cold December. Small room just...

We spent 3-nts at this convenient hotel on its 3rd floor. Hotel locates in a quiet area not too far from the famous Ginza shopping. Courteous hotel staffs are friendly and speak good English. We usually leave the hotel early in the morning and come back after it gets dark. The room is comfortable and just enough space for you...

There are 2 Hotel Monterey's in Ginza and we stayed at La Souer. We saw a few guests make the mistake on arrival, so please check your paperwork as it's a hassle to drag your bags a few streets away. It is a 12 story boutique but basic hotel, with 2 charming old world lifts that have a dial. I...

Hotel Monterey Lasoeur Ginza is a small "charming" hotel, situated conveniently to restaurants, shopping and general sightseeing in the Ginza area. The rooms are generally quite small which isn't unusual for Japanese accommodation. Ideally, this is a great hotel for a short term stay (1-2 nights) but any longer, the small rooms would be mind altering. The hotel staff were...

The bathroom smells like urine and the room smells like old wet cave. When you open the window to get rid of the smell you can't sleep because of the noise from the street (highest floor). Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
