Ginza, Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.

We stayed here for 4 night for our trip to Tokyo. Pros: Walking distance from Ginza line and from Tokyo station. Location is very good. Hotel was clean Cons: extremely small rooms. - Staff was not accommodating enough. They gave us two twin bed room. When we asked them to join those two beds, they said they don’t have big enough bed sheet. - rooms are extremely small - breakfast was overpriced and didn’t have the good spread. - Free wi-fi was sometimes not working

You know a hotel is ok if you decide to visit it for a second time. That was the case this year for us at the Mitsui Garden Hotel in Kyobashi. We stayed in 2017 and chose to stay again this year. The hotel isn't flash, but it's clean and comfortable. Very well maintained with a good location - a short walk to Tokyo train station, to Ginza or to Nihonbashi. Prices are very reasonable. Staff kindly left an iron and ironing board in my room, even though its not standard for the level of accommodation we had.

This hotel surpassed my expectations. Beautiful well maintained hotel with some of the largest rooms in the price range. Excellent amenities, beautiful hotel bathroom with deep relaxing tub, lovely linens and great air conditioning. Staff are friendly and accommodating. About 100m to Kyobashi Station which gets you to Ginza, Shibuya etc and about 400m to Yaesu mall direct to Tokyo station. Many shops and restaurants close by. Would highly recommend you stay here, it’s a lovely hotel for a reasonable price somewhere notoriously expensive and small.

we stayed for 5 nights and used as home base to do day trips around Tokyo area. It is about a 6- 8 min walk to Tokyo station and also close to the underground shopping and restaurants. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with even a cold brew coffee, smoothie and award winning omelette. The room is very clean, comfortable and modern decor. A nice touch is even if you leave the room and take the key card out of the slot for room electricity, the A/C continues to run. So when you come back to the room, it is very comfortable. Most hotels do not have that feature.

This was our second trip to Tokyo in 18 months and we decided to stay at the same hotel as the last time since we liked (a) the location (b) pleasant and helpful staff and (c) the decent size of the rooms. Just a minute's walk away is Exit 24 of the Yaesu Shopping centre which connects to Tokyo JR station about 5 minutes walk away (if you are not distracted by the shopping options which, by the way, we did not find to be as expensive as we had been made to believe). In the opposite direction, again another 5 minutes walk away is the start of the main street of the Ginza with its glamorous stores. This means any amount of good food available within walking distance, including the justly famous egg sandwiches at 7Eleven. The Reception staff were multi lingual and multi functional and very helpful. All requests were attended to promptly and efficiently. We stayed in a superior room which is larger than most Tokyo hotel rooms and has a vestibule which is super convenient for placing luggage. Beds were comfortable as were the buckwheat pillows (alternate for down). The East-West breakfast spread was not spectacular but sufficient, with a small menu of omlettes to order for western palates. The hotel has no restaurant or bar.
