Hostels in Japan are typically of very high-quality and Hotel 3000 is no different. This is perfect if you are visiting Japan in a group and want a cheap place to stay which is close to local amenities. With that said, the rooms and facilities are quite basic compared to hostels in the Shibuya and Shinjuku area, but this may be because it has a 'local' feel to it. We didn't see any other European tourists during our stay. More importantly, there are plenty of toilets and washrooms and there is a free breakfast in the communal area if you get up early enough. This is mainly bread, cereal, tea and coffee. I would recommend staying here if you are exploring the Akihabara reigion for a few nights.

This hotel is hostel. I was in 6-bed room. It is a little old. Beds are small and room is small. No breakfast. Lobby is too small. Two 6-bed rooms have two bathrooms and 2 toilets. It is not too clean. It is 3 mins walk from Akihabara station. It is good for short stay with friends

It is the nearest hostel type from JR Akihabara station, Iwamoto cho subway station. When I spent inside, I feel like I am at home rather than at the hostel ... There is a server with all you can drink coffee, tea etc. It's small, but you can wash in the fridge and kitchen (gas can not be cooked or baked because it can not be used, but there is a microwave) Nearby Family Mart (convenience store) super life store is open until 12 o'clock in the evening. Although I used a dormitory but the shower and the toilet are separate, it does not get crowded and it is outside the room so even if I am asleep I can not mind the sound at all. I can sleep as a guest like a room in my room.

we stayed there 3 nights , it was really good value since it is in the center of Tokyo and just 5 mins walk from the train station, the hotel staffs are very kind, they helped us on looking for routes going to and fro the sites we want to visit, even printed a map and labelled it for us, they have free coffee, water, tea and have good wifi connection, They are even kind enough to give us umbrellas since it was raining on the day we are leaving and we need to walk back to the train station and does not want to spend more money on taxi. Thanks Akihabara hotel 3000 you made our japan travel comfortable....see you again next time!

Very comfortable and great amenities. I stayed here last minute after I missed my flight, and it was a great choice! Good value for a hostel. Located near Akihabara town, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby as well. Close to train station (about 10 minutes walk), though you may want to get a taxi if you have heavy luggage. Free wifi, free coffee/tea, very clean and accessible bathrooms. Laundry machine on site. Highly recommend!
