Hotel was in a great location, close to transport (subway and train), clean, friendly staff.Breakfast was ok although some variety each day would have made it better. Many restaurants close by and Akihabara 'electronic city' a two minute walk away.

Really convenient location and it's a comfy stay! The hotel has everything we need and the location is a Super plus! Just a stone throw away to the train station! The room is cosy and the hotel room size is standard given Japan's standard.

In Tokyo, it seems there are hotels with small rooms at a good price, or tourist hotels with large rooms at outrageous price. This hotel was clean and neat with great location. Staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast was nice mix of westernized foods and more typical Japanese breakfast.

The location is very close to Akihabara station. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small but have all the necessary amenities. Only negative point was the TV program was all in Japanese and no English Channel available.

Very nice and centrally located hotel, right next to Akihabara Station. Rooms are not that big, but I guess for Tokyo standards not bad at all. Staff is friendly, but a little apprehensive in talking English. What I didn't like was I had to wait till precisely 2pm before I could check in; not a minute earlier....

Lovely hotel - really great views of the city! Very close to the train station, which has good connections to the city. Akihabara station is only two stops away from Tokyo and the hotel is in a great location for anyone interested in the anime scene. Less than 10 minutes walk from Mandarake (8 floors of anime merchandise), maid cafes,... More

We decided to stay here as we wanted to spend time in Akihabara for their anime, cosplay collections and themed cafes. The hotel is just across the street from the trains, and the surrounding area has alot of food and convenience stores to fill us up. Hotel rooms are quite small bit that's expected in Japan. Rooms are clean and... More

I guess being in Japan you can only hope for so much. I didn't want to spend thousands on a room so I got the basic one. It was nice but just very small. Appart forms hat the location of the hotel is amazing in the heart of electronic town and a few minutes for the train station.

Stayed in a "ladies room." It has extra beauty related ammenities and located on the same floor as reception with a separate entrance for safety, I suppose. The room was clean and well laid out. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is right across from Akihabara station and very convenient to get around Tokyo. I recommend it. ここで止まればがっかりしないと思います。

This hotel is directly located at the akihabara station, central in tokyo; by walking you reach thousands of shops and restaurants and can buy what you never wanted. Rooms are small but effficiently structured and very clean. Free WiFi and breakfast in house. What do you want more ?

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighborhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
