We stayed at the peninsula more than a week. We arrived midnight and the check in was smooth . The room was beautiful as My favourite colours are orange and gold and the room atmosphere combined both those colours. The bathroom was beautiful and I couldn't ask more. The hotel location in ideal for people who loves Ginza. It was... More

I walked for three hours to visit the imperial garden as I couldn't work out how to use the metro but I'm glad I did as I was able to explore this part of town. On my way back I passed the Peninsula hotel and so treated myself to a three course meal on the top floor restaurant with views... More

Very nice and clean rooms, off course. very convient location next to the train station, we had and easy trip from Narita International. and great service makes this hotel a dream to stay in. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2016. Guest Service Manager Natsuko Fujiwara provided fabulous top notce service. On our last day of the trip, wife had a pair of jeans that she needed to return to a store couple train stations away from Ginza. We were running late for our flight, and the Ms. Fujiwara was super kind and offered... More

In a perfect location for visiting Tokyo...just across from the Imperial Palace, the Peninsula is a welcome retreat after a day of exploring....A lovely breakfast in the lobby restaurant, with about the best French Toast ever!...Gorgeous, modern floral arrangements in the minimalist entry...glassy polished floors and attention to all details make this a perfect stay. Only problem is that the... More

This hotel is one of my favorites in Tokyo. The service is excellent and location is terrific. It is right across the street from the park for the Imperial Palace, which is a great walk and tour (plan for a 4-5 mile walking day). It is also close to great shopping. The train station is connected to the hotel (subway)... More

You get what you pay for - and though the Peninsula isn't cheap - it is absolutely exquisite. The room was huge and lovely, the staff friendly and helpful, the food delicious. Everything about our stay was perfect. This hotel is also in a great part of town - we live in Tokyo and came here for our anniversary. We... More

The hotel is outstanding in many ways. It has a tradition in hosting, as it belongs to a hotel chain based in Hong Kong since 1866, so the furniture is a perfect match for a traveler that wants to feel home, well, not a common home, but in a very special home, extremely elegant in all aspects, good taste and... I have stayed at almost all the five star hotels in Tokyo in the past. And the reason I come back to this hotel has to be the location. I can jog in the morning by the Imperial palace n Hibiya park right across the street from the hotel n it is right at the center of Ginza where all... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
