So, I am hereby reviewing this nice hotel in Ochanomizu. I went with my wife on our 2nd Honeymoon and wanted to splurge in food and not in hotels, so I checked out the hotels in Tokyo and located this cheap and nice hotel in Ochanomizu. It is very near Ochanomizu and Shin Ochanomizu stations, as well as the JR...

We spent here 7 nights and can only recommend the hotel. Its biggest advantage is the central location - up to 10 mins walking from Ochanomizu Station - combined with reasonable price. The hotel is located on the quiet street and there was also no noise from other rooms. The room itself was clean and small as expected but still...

Every year we spend a couple of days in Tokyo, to enjoy the city and travel further to my family in law. This is the third time we are using this hotel and we find it perfect for our needs. It is for a hotel in Tokyo centre not too expensive. Staff is friendly (and even starts to recognize us)....

I recently stayed 8 nights at this property with my family of four. The rooms are on the smaller size, basically what you see in the pictures is the entire room. Our problem was that we were just starting out on a 19 day vacation and we had a lot of luggage. Trying to fit all our luggage in the...

We spent our first two nights in Japan at this hotel. It was within walking distance to the subway stations, which was 3 stops from the main Tokyo train station. The neighbourhood was extremely quiet and safe. The decor was exceptional, and the staff were great. I enjoyed the breakfast which, although not a buffet, was a great start to...

Well connected to different metro station. Traditional breakfast included in the room rate. The staff are gentle and they take care of all guests, Next time I'll be in Tokyo...

This is a very comfortable hotel and i'll be happy to stay here again. It does not purport to be an International style hotel and is the better for it. The rooms are quiet and well appointed. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful in every way. The Japanese breakfast was an excellent way to begin the day....

Got this place b'cuz it was only a couple of train stops away from an event I was going to. Also offered a Japanese style room which I always wanted to try, for a price that didn't break my wallet. Decent location from Tokyo & Akihabara, but is a bit of a walk from the Ochanomizu train station, about 8minutes....

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighborhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
