The Shangri La Tokyo is in a fabulous location just next door to Tokyo station. This made getting around so very convenient. The pick up for tours was also close by. Other than the location what made this hotel was the staff and the overall attitude though out. We had 3 people in our room, usually we run short of... More

Always outstanding in service, quality and friendliness. Had previously only stayed here for work, but given the large room sizes (especially for Tokyo) we did a 5-day stay with my family this summer. I can't say enough about everyone we came across - the bell hops to the reception managers to the sweet cleaning ladies and the fantastic concierge. Always... More

A nice hotel, with well sized rooms very well equipped, a nice bar and common parts, a perfect staff like you can expect from a Top Japanese hotel. All that is nice and you spend a good time, but the price is a bit over the top. 800 yens (8 USD) for a nespresso capsule in the room, really? And... More

Dear FloranH Thank you very much for your review and we regret that we caused you to perceive the hotel as expensive. The Nespresso coffee capsules are actually provided free of charge to all our guests and you may have been mislead by the coffee price on our private bar list which is for a special filter coffee. We apologize... More

Rooms are large for Tokyo standards, breakfast is tasty but restaurants are disappointing for Japanese standards. No presence from management throughout the last 3 years ....despite staying there at least twice a month. Staff friendly in the Horizon Lounge.

Dear Gabegourmet, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We regret that you did not enjoy our restaurants. Both, Piacere and Nadaman are very popular with Japanese and foreign guests alike and if there is anything you should be missing on our menus, we would be delighted to make arrangements for you. I also regret that you... More

I've tried a few of the luxury hotels in Tokyo (Four Seasons, Mandarin, Park Hyatt) and this is my favorite. A few things really make it excel above the others...the staff (more friendlier and accommodating - consistent with the Shangri La style), the rooms (really nice quality), the food (it's the best eggs Benedict I've had in the world and... I visited only for two days but wished it were longer. Location is very central near Tokyo Station, close to Ginza. This hotel is superb, almost everything you would expect at this price range except a large outdoor garden, which is hard to do in this location. The decor is very reserved Asian, with lots of gold, downlighting, browns and... More

From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted and welcomed. Staff is well trained and very attentive. Our room was wonderful with a fantastic view. Turn down service is excellent and includes his/her pajamas. The Shangri-La was an outstanding experience and we will be back next time we are in Tokyo. Excellent location to Tokyo Station.

From the warmest welcome till the departure with the escort to the Tokyo station, we had the most wonderful and relaxing time in Shangri La! The hotel sets the standards very high and achieves perfect results every time. I truly believe Shangri La in Tokyo has the best breakfast in the world and overall the most excellent service. Sat in the bar for a few drinks and desert after a good meal at Nadaman restaurant. Staff were accommodating and polite, drinks were simply brilliant! We ordered some of the special mixology cocktails and were extremely surprised! Deserts were great! Good selection and immaculately presented. All whilst overlooking an amazing view! Highly recommended for a quick drink in the... More
