Perfect location above Akihabara Station for all things Otoku. Akiba is the centre for manga/anime fans, gamers, J-Pop fans. Bars, clubs, maid cafes, arcades and pachinko parlours. Loads of restaurants of all types, for all budgets. Funky glass-walled bathrooms gives amazing views, especially at night. Hotel was very quiet considering the activities outside.Good breakfast--Japanese and western items. Easy access from Haneda Airport and only two stops from Tokyo Station for easy travel around the city and the country.

Stayed here for 2 nights by myself. Looked for a hotel that was near the station and this was literally just outside the station. Therefore it is easy to get there with the luggage. Room itself was quite small but typical of Japanese hotels. No bathtub, just shower space. (Apparently the whole hotel does not have any bathtubs...) small room table and a good view. There is a kettle for you to boil water with. A family mart just below the hotel across the road if you need to buy instant noodles or snacks. Akihabara itself is quite well located, being near to Tokyo Station for shinkansens, and having another Chuo line to Shinjuku if you want to do shopping there. Would stay here again if i am back in Tokyo alone. Hotel Room: 4 Stars (Small room, modern, with massage chair. No Bathtub) Room View: 4 Stars (View of the Akihabara station) Service of Staff: 3 Stars (Not very helpful and very rule abiding) Lounges/Restaurants: (NA) Room Service: (NA) Location: 5 Stars (Walking distance to Akihabara station which is part of the JR line if you use JR pass)

We wanted somewhere near the metro and that is what we got. It was easy to walk to most things we wanted to do in the area. We figured we might be sacrificing quality and that it may be a bit noisy. That was certainly not the case! The room was small by US standards, but really had everything we needed, even including a tea pot, massage chair, and pajamas. The breakfast at the Portal Cafe was worth the price. It was a buffet with western food, Japanese food, and European options. Probably our favorite food of the trip.

I was so pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The room had a fantastic view and the massage chair got tons of use! The shower was divine and the location I can’t get enough of. It is literally right outside the subway station and is ideal if you plan to travel all over the city. On the other side of the building is Radio Kaikan (a great anime fan shoppe) and further down the road is Hitachino Brewing which is an amazing Japanese craft brewery. Yodobashi camera was also the right outside our window! The beds were comfortable and while I found it odd we were left only 2 pillows a very kind man in a suit brought us two more with our choice of soft hard or medium firmness. The vending machines have beer which I appreciated and the free tea was delicious. They will definitely be my first choice next time I come to Tokyo.

Located at the central gate of JR station. Opposite to Washington hotel. Accidentally found Remm n booked immediately without hesitation cos Washington s more expensive than i booked 2 mths ago. Location s unbeatable. Nice, helpful staff (this s important as i checkout on typhoon day, panic abt local transportation n other issues). In short, the staff solved all my problems. Wht surprise me s the massage chair n nice view! Will b back in my next visit!
