Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful, they also spoke English and had English tourist info at hand. It was a small room, tight for 2 people, but that was expected. We purchased the room with breakfast option, the breakfast wasn't great. It would be great if the bed was raised a little more so you could use the space... More

The highlight of this hotel is the location: just inside the station ( train / subway ) to Akihabara . The room is very clean and small ( two people with a suitcase at most ) . The hotel offers to store your bags but it is an option that does not appeal to everyone . The bed is comfortable... More

The remm Akihabara is located perfectly to visit Akihabara and Tokyo in general. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Although the room was very small (as it is usually in Tokyo as I've heard), it is very well equipeed and clean. I would stay there again. Just keep in mind that you hear the trains since it is very... More

Staying at the Remm is a very relaxing experience. Staff are very helpful. Massage chair in room, rain shower in bathroom and snugly beds. Have the 14th floor with a great view which can be totally blacked out. Surprisingly quiet as we are directly next to the station but have not heard or felt a train. Massive choice of food... More

I had a room on the 15th floor overlooking Electric Town - great view :-) Check-in was quick and easy and staff were nice and friendly. Room is very compact, but I was a solo traveller so this was fine. If there were two of you, the room would be very tight. There was no space for a suitcase/large bag... More

Only stayed for one night only as it was my final night of my Japan adventure, I like the place because it was close to the action in Akihabara but also close to the JR and Metro station. The check in was smooth, the room was compact. Excellent view. Had a massage chair. I would love to come back here... More

We had 3 separate short stays in this hotel in April as we toured other parts of Japan and returned to explore more of Tokyo. The rooms were great for a New Zealand couple and the location made it very easy to get to and travel from via the trains.

Just got back from Tokyo where we stayed at the Remm Akihabara Hotel. I was traveling with my daughter so we booked 2-rooms on the Tripadvisor site for very reasonable rates. We had no problems with check in and the staff was pleasant and provided our keys and internet connection information with no issues. The rooms were small and the... More

The hotel has very convenient location, just next to JR and Tsukuba stations. When you leave the hotel you can choose from many activities, be it shopping, dining or traveling. All these are within 5 mins range. Reception staff is helpful and they have sometimes elevator operators, too. It is recommended to ask for high floor rooms, if you like... More

Remm Akihabara was impressive. We booked through Expedia, then turned up with our booking confirmation. Checking in was easy and the staff spoke adequate English. The room contains an electric kettle for making hot drinks. There is a huge selection of tea bags and hot drinks on the reception desk on level 6 which customers are free to take, and... More

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighborhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
