This is a nice hotel within a 5 min walk to the Kanda station. It is 1 stop away from Tokyo Station making transfers to the airport and the Shinkansen super easy. The rooms are small (think cruise ship size) but since we are only in the room to sleep, it didn't bother me. The free wifi is very fast...

The hotel is located near the Kanda station, at about 5 minutes by walk, but in a very silent street. There's a lot of tipical restaurants and supermarkets in the sorroundings. The breakfast was very good and you can choose the continental (bacon and eggs, brioche, coffee, juice, bread and jam, yogurt, fruit) or the japanese one (sushi, miso soup,...

It was easy to go there by metro. Kanda station was about 5 minutes from hotel. Even though the room was not big, it was nice and toilet was comfortable! Free coffee 15.00-24.00 was nice after coming basck to hotel after walking around the city. Staff was very very polite! Thanks to them! Could go back there any time!

After searching profusely for a place to stay in Tokyo that was not only reasonably priced, but was in a great area, I found this place. I stayed in room 408. For around 8500 yen, I got a non-smoking room with 2 twin beds. Although I was alone, I did find the little bit of extra space made the extra...

This is a rather typical Comfort Inn, Japanese-style - smallish but clean, comfortable, adequate. We depend on this chain wherever we travel for a good night's sleep after a busy day. This one is a bit special, as it is very affordable (about $100) in the middle of pricey Tokyo, near to the train, and in an interesting neigborhood. It...

The hotel is near the station, it is clean and the room looks amazing. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is good. It is really a good place to stay for holidays, after a full day of aventure arrive here really is a good experience.

Tips: 1. Book directly from the hotel's official website (Japanese) for the best rate. You are most welcome to compare the price with the hotel booking website. 2. If you stay more than 1 night, try to book each night separately, it could save you some money and increase the room availability. It works for us very well. 3. Free...

This is a fantastic budget hotel (just over $100 a night for two people including breakfast). The bed was super comfy. The room was small, but had a desk to work on (free wifi and wired internet) and we did okay. The bathroom felt like it belonged on an airplane, but the shower was just fine. This is not a...

Hotels are expensive in Tokyo so Comfort Hotel Kanda is a gem. But if you are on the tall or big size, you're better off skipping this. My group is just average size so Comfort Hotel was fine. It's very clean, they serve a decent breakfast, and the free wifi signal is strong. To get to the hotel, we used...

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighborhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
