Certificate of Excellence
Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo is located uptown in Mejiro. While it is in the heart of Tokyo, the hotel is surrounded by our spacious scenic green garden, which gives the hotel an aura of quiet serenity. The property consists of three buildings: the hotel, the plaza and the tower; and a traditional-style Japanese garden. The hotel has 260 rooms, 36 banquet halls, 5 wedding facilities and 12 restaurants. The garden lets our guests experience the four seasons through its changing colors: camellias bloom in the winter, cherry trees bloom in the spring, fireflies fill the garden in the summer and the leaves change colors in the autumn. Please come and see why so many of our guests are awed by the changes of the seasons in the garden.

Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and gourmet foods can be enjoyed. The 60-story building at the east entrance of the station, Sunshine City, is a landmark within Ikebukuro and features an aquarium, planetarium, theme park as well as an observation platform. The popular name for the western side of this area is "Otome Road" (Maiden Road) and there are many shops selling products related to anime with a female theme. It has rapidly become the worldwide headquarters for ‘otaku’ or geek culture.

Dear emiko2018 Sama, Thank you for visiting us and for giving us the full 5 score! Our rooms are indeed large, especially for Tokyo standards and I am glad that you and your husband enjoyed it. Besides the subway stations, there are some public bus stops nearer to the hotel. Next time we will show you all the options. With warm regards from the Guest Relations Team!

The hotel's luxurious lobby, artistic garden and attentive staff made up for the location of the place. However would recommend not making a booking via Expedia . I found that my booking (through Expedia) excluded use of the pool which is considered part of a spa facility. This

Dear emmapotato6 Sama, Thank you for staying with us and for writing a review on TripAdvisor. We are glad to read that you enjoyed our hotel, garden and service. On on-line booking sites we offer several room/stay packages with either pool (spa) access included or not included. I have checked with the spa staff about "security". Normally, if a guest does not remember the room number we can look it up by means of the name. We do normally check whether visitors are staying with us or not. Once we know the guests we do not check their room number any more, so it is possible that the other people you saw were "repeaters" or possibly regular spa members. It is a pity that you felt uncomfortable in the spa and I would like to sincerely apologize for that. With warm regards, Andre Sol
