We stayed just one night in a Valley View room at Las Casitas when we visited Colca Canyon and the Cruz del Condor. Too bad it wasn't longer, but we had already visited Lima, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cusco and Lake Titicaca. The trek to the hotel over a 16,000 ft mountain pass was memorable in itself. But then arriving at this true oasis was such a pleasant end to a long travel day. The grounds were beautiful to walk around and soak in the scenery. Our individual casita was very spacious and had every amenity you could think of. The outdoor patio and private hot tub were spectacular, and we took in the sunset over the canyon from there with a complementary drink in hand! The restaurant was excellent and the service was so accommodating for our every need, including building a fire in our fireplace when the night got chilly. This hotel is truly memorable, as is the whole Colca Canyon area.…
We would like to thank the Las Casitas Belmond hotel staff for the amazing stay we had there. The Casitas with their individual hot spring and fireplace are absolutely beautiful, such as the park with the alpacas, food at the restaurant is good and healthy, and we enjoyed the horse riding tour. We had a very peaceful and restful stay, and warmly recommend the place.
The property and rooms were amazing. Add a kitchen and I would stay there. The food, views, room and service was above expectations. The only disappointment was that the hot plunge pool only got to cool to lukewarm.
Our family of four stayed in two casitas for two nights in August; the hotel was an unexpected delight in terms of location, infrastructure and service. Nestled on the side of the upper part of the Colca Canyon, the vistas are spectacular. The gardens are lovingly cared for so that at all times, you feel you are in paradise, surrounded by very special nature, whether you are at your casita, the common areas or the (heated) swimming pool. Sitting on our casita terrace, we spotted condors and hummingbirds, alpacas of course, and rejoiced in the exotic plants. The rooms and beds are exceptionally comfortable and the bathrooms immense, with quality products. The breakfast is of the highest quality and service impeccable: when a morning tour meant we had to leave 30 minutes earlier than the restaurant opening hours, they laid out a beautiful small buffet so that we would not miss out on the lovely breakfast. Dinner and drinks were also delicious, the ingredients fresh and everything home made. Staff were always making the extra effort to make us feel welcome, whether it was providing hot water bottles at night or the manager’s welcome note which was a work of art. A massage at the spa with the lovely Eveline was a wonderful experience and it was very welcome that the use of the steam room was included. While I was in Eveline’s capable hands, my husband decided to go for a walk in the hotel’s vicinity. The reception staff kindly pointed him in the direction of a delightful valley walk towards Yanque, which is used by some staff in the hotel to get to work. The trail was an absolute delight and it would be great if the hotel could make information about it and other trips in the valley available in the rooms. Overall, I would say that our one regret is that we did not spend longer in this exceptional hotel. It would be a magnificent choice for a luxury break to re-energize, but also for a wedding or honeymoon. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making our stay perfect.…
The Casitas were wonderful- the service and food was excellent. This is where we stayed to visit the Colca Canyon to view the Condors. The amenities of the hotel were great. Nice hiking trails, horse back riding, there was a spa for massages and a nice pool. All the staff was great and when asked came to start a fire in our fireplace. There was also a hot water bag placed in our bed to warm it when the bed was turned down in the evening. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were very delicious.
Wow! what a wonderful place to stay for a few days. If i was really picky i would say leave more water in the rooms and make the dressing gowns fluffier but i'm not. We had a wonderful stay thank you!
We stayed for 2 wonderful nights. Las Casitas are amazing and very comfortable, there are several activities to do during the day. The food and service were great as well, I highly recommend it !!!!!!
The hotel is gorgeous. The casitas are very nicely decorated and the setting is just so stunning and relaxing. Having your own little outdoor space with a hot tub was amazing. The food and the service were great as well, highly recommend it!
Beautiful setting - lovely gardens, casitas beautiful externally and internally, cute trio of llamas / alpacas roaming around, lovely pool which was nice to sit at but way too cold to swim. Spa was great too - luxe with good service. Casita was wonderfully spacious, great tall ceiling, enormous bathroom, fantastic huge bed, gorgeous outdoor setting including the jacuzzi which we loved. Turndown service included cutesy llama hot water bottles. Especially want to acknowledge staff service from Luz at front desk. All staff were great (including restaurant and room service) but she really stood out. We had a very quiet wedding at the venue and she was extremely helpful over email in the preceding months and during our stay. Very grateful for how easy and smooth she made things. Only area for improvement is food. Was good but not great.…
We stayed for 3 wonderful nights at Las Casitas. From the spacious rooms with fireplaces and indoor/outdoor showers to the alpaca hot water bottles brought to our room nightly to keep our feet warm to the private heated plunge pools (perfect at night for looking at the myriad of stars), this resort had everything. Feeding the baby alpacas, having sundowners at many of the different lovely seating areas available on the lush grounds, and walking the secret trail from the hotel to downtown Yanque were particular highlights. Would highly recommend, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in the region.
