Nestled amidst natural splendor, Colca Lodge Spa & Hot Springs garners accolades for its exceptional service, with staff members frequently recognized for their eagerness to enhance guest experiences. The hotel's tranquil ambiance, set against a backdrop of breathtaking mountain vistas, is complemented by unique amenities such as soothing hot springs and enchanting gardens, along with memorable alpaca and llama encounters. While guests are charmed by the spacious rooms offering scenic views, there are occasional calls for refreshment in both décor and amenities.
Cleanliness is a strong suit, although the towel quality sometimes falls short of expectations. Despite some visitors pointing out the dining experience could be more indulgent, others consider the hotel's offerings to provide good value.

The hotel is gorgeous. It sits in a valley with a river cutting through the middle. There are hot springs and an amazing spa. Cute alpacas and llamas. This place is picturesque and extremely relaxing. The view is incredible. Waking up every day with this view is an absolute pleasure. On top of the view, the geothermal springs were amazing. We also had a private hot tub. The spa also has a pool that overlooks the river. Everything about this place was magical.
The staff at Colca Lodge is exceptional. My boyfriend and I had a reservation here the day the COVID-19 quarantine first went into effect in Peru mid-March. We were the only guests at the property during the mandatory quarantine. This was a really stressful time - the border suddenly closed. No commercial flights in or out of Peru. The cities were blocked off by military checkpoints. Our one week stay ended up extending to two weeks.
The staff took care of us like we were part of their family. I'll never forget their hospitality. They went above to make sure that we were okay. Thank you, Nagib (and Lucky), Ramon, Dianina, Mayerling, Beatrice, Luis, and Alan. I had altitude sickness the first few days here. The hotel had an oxygen tank that really helped me adjust.
Nagib, the hotel manager, set up transportation to take us to Arequipa when we were able to get repatriation flights back to the US. To make sure that we could travel unmolested, he arranged the local Ministry of Tourism in Chivay to drive us to Arequipa (3 hour drive). When the transportation letter from the U.S. Embassy didn't include my name and passport number, Nagib followed up with the U.S. Embassy and drafted a supplementary letter to make sure we would be able to get through the military checkpoints. The trip was as smooth as it could be. This will certainly be a memorable trip for us and I want to go back.

There were 3 of the, with different temperatures. We chose the 3rd as it was almost empty.
Unfortunately, we arrived far too late in the evening so we were not able to make use of the indoor spa, cross the hanging bridge (looked a bit scary, but I’m sure kids love it) or visit the animals. We did manage to use the pools, and we LOVED it. The views around us were lovely and so peaceful. We also ordered drinks and a pizza from the bar just by the pools. Nice pizza!
Careful, though, the walk down /up to the pools is a bit steep and the air was cold once you got up from the lovely warm pools.
Don’t forget to make your reservation in the restaurants, so you get the time and restaurant you prefer. There was one big and one smaller, and as we were only 2 we preferred the smaller, more intimate and quieter one. Food was good as usual during our 3 week-holiday in lovely Peru. Service also fine.
We loved our chalet! The bathroom was big - two washbasins and evening a long stool where you could rest.
As we came as part of a package tour I can’t comment on their tours.

What a special hotel! The hot spring is spectacular and the room is the same. The hotel is an oasis so once you are there enjoy the onsite restaurant, spa, and hot springs to your heart's content. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and don't forget to visit their llamas. If you need a tv in your room they don't have any sorry. You have the ability to lounge on the pristinely manicured grounds, the bar near the hot tubs has lunch cooked on an open grill and lots of spirits to rejuvenate. The hot spring has scenery to simply take your mind to thoughtful places as you soak in the springs and don't forget they have changing rooms at the hot springs and large towels at the bar so don't bring your room towel. The rooms come equipped with a flashlight, snacks, beverages, and toiletries and some rooms have balconies too.

The hotel is located next to the river, in a beautiful landscape. Rooms are OK, comfortable and spacious, with nice beds and an average bathroom. Could be much cozier with minor decoration improvements.
The highlight of the hotel, by far, are the hot springs; soaking in hot water under the stars with the sound of the river is priceless. Madeleine, who works in the hot springs, stood out vs the rest of the hotel personnel.
The restaurant makes nice food, tasty, yet with small portions for the price. In some cases it’s almost laughable: they serve only one nut sized bread per person… Service is also slow. Within the room, they left a single bottle of water, although we were four.
In general, the personnel is not friendly. In some point we requested some slippers, to which they responded that it was only for a specific type of room. We asked to purchase them, and the refused again.
Overall we had a good experience, yet it could have been amazing considering the natural landscape, the infrastructure of the hotel, and the hot springs.
With some adjustments this could be a 5 star review.

The Colca lodge was a gem in the Colca Valley. At the bottom of the valley beside the river, the hotel has both outdoor and indoor hot springs pools that are included in the price of the room. The spa offers many services at reasonable rates. The food and service at the restaurant was excellent. The employees spoke English and took care of everything we needed. The location was a beautiful setting in the mountains, with many green terraces visible. There was a zip line, horseback riding and an Alpaca farm. The rooms were big and clean with amazing views. It would be great for a family or couples. I highly recommend this lodge.

This is a beautiful hotel located near Colca Canyon. The grounds are very well kept and they have a nice hot spring pools open 24/7 that are great after a day of site seeing. The rooms are very cute and comfortable. We were only here for 1 night but I would have stayed another day had I known how nice and peaceful it was and if we had had more time. Staff was very friendly and they have a very tasty restaurant as well.

Lots to like but the special touch is missing.
The location and ambience is what you are going for, but the facilities need a refresh.
The rooms need decoration and bringing up to date, ours had broken lamp fittings, mould in the shower, loose plug fittings and dead insects accumulated on the window ledge. No usb sockets or even power points by the bed.
The terrace outside the rooms are nice places to enjoy the tranquility.
The hot springs are wonderful. However, the hotel does not provide slippers or similar so you have to walk in your day shoes. No towels are provided at the springs, and the rooms only have two small thin shower towels - very budget hotel feel.
Breakfast buffet is limited, adequate but not indulgent. Quite a cramped buffet set up and with more than a few guests very crowded.
The staff are helpful and friendly. The grounds are well maintained and the llama farm a pleasant addition.
WiFi is good, compensating for no other entertainment in rooms.
If the rooms were updated and quality bath towels, slippers and thoughtful alterations made, this would be worthy of a higher rating, but it just provides a basic service. It does not go above and beyond- hence the average rating.

After traveling through 5 weeks we decided to stay in colca lodge for 6 nights just to relax and recoup.
Of all the hotels we stayed in in Peru this one provided the best service. The rooms are very comfortable and we enjoyed opportunities in the mineral spa, Getting a massage, hiking around the area, relaxing outside, Visiting the llamas and being able to walk into Yanque.
I am vegan and as soon as the hotel found out they created a separate vegan menu for me which was very tasty. The service was phenomenal from the front desk, housekeeping, to the restaurant. The supervisor for the restaurant as well as the manager of the hotel would check in with us each evening to inquire about our experience and see if there was any way that they could help us.
After one of these conversations we decided to book a trip to see the condors. We had a fabulous morning and I’m very grateful that they suggested that.
I would highly recommend this hotel and hopefully you can stay for longer than a day or two but even that is worth it. If you’re looking for a place that offers some peace and quiet surrounded by nature with fabulous service and great meals then this is the place.

This hotel is ideally located for exploring the Colca Canyon. The welcome is friendly. Be careful, the hot water swimming pools accessible free of charge are very small so in the evening it gets crowded. So don't hesitate to go to the SPA where the massages are great and inexpensive and give access to a large swimming pool with very hot water. The rooms are good but the windows look directly onto the path where other customers or staff pass by… the restaurant is correct at a very affordable price. Conclusion: you can go there and you will be fine there

I am Peruvian and here I leave my opinion, the hotel is very nice, it is away from the village, so if you need something you have to take taxi to leave, as there is nothing around it.
The rooms clean and temperate, does not feel cold, I was in a quadruple of two floors.
It would be good to put plugs in the upper environment, in addition to placing an additional chock, you only have the chock of the bathroom, which fills quickly.
Bathrooms have those showers open half and how bad the water comes out.
The restaurant, Traveler menu has few options for dishes to choose from, and within the dishes I ate, I didn’t like chicken aji lacked flavor like huancaina sauce without flavor.
The menu is more designed for foreign tourists, but they should improve the traditional dishes of the country. I also tasted sautéed beef loin and alpaca that the meat was soft, and tasted good.
The thermal pools were very good, in this aspect I was fine.
In activities fishing, they lend you the rod and the meat and asking the boys who are in the pools indicate where to fish, in the alpacas you can see them. Horseback riding charges 90 soles an hour, this service does not take it.
We visited the ruins of Uyu Uyu, at the reception we were told how to arrive and it seemed very easy but it is not, it is a climb to the hill to reach the ruins like 1 hour between rise and fall.
Overall, the hotel is very nice and quiet, has few things to improve.

It was really hot. One pool was too hot to enter for us. Very pretty and nice springs, and definitely the highlight of the place.
It is such a beautiful property that I recommend enjoying what it has to offer for the short time you are there. Walk the grounds and take in the views. Visit the alpaca on the grounds. Relax in the hot springs.
there is no lap pool no, but the place is awesome.
they'll even bring you a drink or meal.
No, Uber and Lyft will not be available
Sorry, we used a private guide and driver so I can't help, but I would certainly not recommend hiking with a child.
