Like most of the other folks who have reviewed, I spend the entire day kayaking/hiking to the glacier. I did it with Ice Trolls (so very good). Luckily I was smart and booked this hotel to rest up after the long day. The woman who runs the hotel is very sweet, very friendly and nice. We were starving and tired... More

My family (me, husband, 6 year old) stayed here after hiking the nearby glacier (it's about 5 minutes away) and loved it. The actual hotel is pretty basic, no fancy amenities but we found it to be clean and comfortable, perfect for our one night stay. The owner and the girls that work there are so nice, ready to accommodate... More

I stayed here for two nights on 6/1 and 6/2/2016, perfect location for hiking near by glacier. Since this hotel located in a remote area, hotel dinner probably was the only choice. I ordered meatball, surprisingly so good. Waitress told me her mom made them, homemade Norwegian style . Her mom is the one incharge this hotel, very nice. When... More

Travelled here to see the town that my great grandparents immigrated from. Hotel staff were very helpful with local information. Hotel is in a rather isolated location but was clean and comfortable. Scenery is out of this world. Meat ball dinner was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It is a great location for glacier hiking and rafting with the Ice Trolls. The owner and her staff are positively lovely and gracious. We stayed in the apartment which as mentioned in other reviews does have an odd layout. But it is spacious, clean and has amazing views. The food was very good.... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night during our week long Norway Fjords trip. The location is perfect if you are planning on visiting Nigardsbreen (which you should, it's magnificent). Staff are friendly and helpful. They gave us all sort of information regarding the area the night we arrived. Room was small, like any other hotel we stayed... More

This hotel is simple but clean. The hotel has a full kitchen. We really enjoyed the meatballs dinner! This hotel is in somewhat of a remote area so this is really the only option for hot dinner without driving a bit. We stayed in the apartment area. It had an unusual layout; for example the shower was in one room... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights - and ate both breakfast and dinners here. The food was great - quite a bit of selection for such a remotely located hotel! The rooms seemed recently updated and clean and the staff was amazing. So friendly and helpful with all the questions I had. We did the glacier walk one... More

The 4 of us stayed at the apartment and it could comfortably fit 5 peeps ( 2 in each bedroom, 1 in the pull out couch in the living room. It was clean and relatively spacious. What I want to highlight is the food in the hotel. Considering being the middle of nowhere, I expected just whatever human food probably... More
