In the wonderful forests of the Veluwe, you will find Hotel De Bilderberg. Once you enter Oosterbeek and approach our stately driveway, you will immediately understand why the Hotel De Bilderberg has become such an icon. Leave the hotel on foot and you will soon find yourself immersed in the fabulous forests of the Veluwe, in every direction. For style and culture, visit Oosterbeek or the famous Kröller-Müller Museum with its extensive sculpture garden. The Netherlands Open Air Museum, the famous Ouwehands Zoo and Burgers' Zoo are also close at hand. All our hotel rooms, suites and balcony rooms are spacious and offer a wonderful view of the surrounding area. Whether you are visiting the Hotel De Bilderberg for business or pleasure, you can enjoy outstanding Italian cuisine in our Italian-oriented restaurant Trattoria Artusi. But not before a visit to our wellness centre after a long day, where a dip in the swimming pool or a spell in the sauna will ensure a relaxing evening.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for two nights because they ran a special; dinner, breakfasts for two people plus 2 nights lodging for 338 Euros, an offer we could not refuse! Once we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to find that Bilderberg is a wonderful mid-century style country villa! The room was fine and the amenities were top quality. More importantly, the staff was absolutely first cabin, friendly & professional at the same time. The breakfast was the best we have had in Europe this trip and dinner was 3 courses and delicious. The grounds were beautiful and the hotel right on the main bike path from Oosterbeck to Arnhem. Altogether we rate this place a 9.5 of 10. Only one drawback: the pool was a bit too cold for our taste. Highly recommended

The locations is slightly outdated and value for money is rather poor. We simply expected more of this hotel. On the day of our checkout room service tried to clean the room twice before 11.00. On a checkout day you don't expect to be bothered by cleaning before leaving the room. Straff , although overall friendly wasn't knowledgeable. Breakfast was ok-ish Unfortunately no toaster available. Dinner though was very satisfactory

I know the bildetberg chain of hotels. The hotel is a 4 star BUT has no safe in room, no mini bar and NO AIRCO.
It does not say they have airco etc but one assume that in 2020 a 4 star would have one
service was nice breakfast and dinner where nice too. The surrounding is beautiful. So go there and enjoy but not in a hot summer. I hope they would upgrade it soon if they want to stay as a good option.

This hotel is ideally situated for the Northern End of Market Garden. It is easy to get to all the interesting bits from here, although we became a bit tired of struggling over the Nijmegen Bridge.
We picked this hotel for a bit of luxury. It is not cheap, but is in the forest and has a restaurant. Note - it does not have air conditioning and there are no fans. Rooms facing the sun in the afternoon become ovens.
The menu does not change - which is a bit poor considering that it is not cheap. We were never told what the prices were (Ok, we should have asked) and so got a nasty surprise at the end.
During COVID they are trying to limit staff contact, so rooms are not cleaned unless you ask. Towels are not changed unless you make a specific request.
I think the biggest problem we had was with the level of safety. They had tried to set up one way signs, but nobody takes any notice of these in the Netherlands. We were often the only ones wearing face coverings - and you get some funny looks.
So, maybe if I were doing this again, I might choose one of the recommended b&bs locally and eat out.

A coach of 35 of us arriving on Saturday of the 16/7/22 to be told that the restaurant and bar was closed so meaning having to find some where to eat and then to be told that the restaurant was booked up for the Sunday night surely if you know that a coach of 35 where arriving you should be able to accommodate them. When entering the room the rating drops to a very generous 2 star, mobile air unit that made more racket that a jumbo jet and a bath room which was so date and smelt and also no tea or coffee making available in room. After a day out came back to find door was left open as cleaner had left the lack over so meaning the door didn’t close properly. This hotel has been 4 stared on the ground floor but when going up it drops to maybe a 2 star. My my eyes it needs demolishing and rebuilding if it rates it as a 4 star. Would not entertain going back here again.

I personally feel that the hotel is no longer value for money. The room was what I would describe as 'tired' - needing updating and decorating. The curtains were stained and the air conditioning in the room was broken. There was a portable unit in the room that pumped out more hot air from the back than cold from the front! The nozzle was not attached and it was not clear how to sort this out. The bathroom had mold growing between the tiles which I would not allow in my own bathroom at home! Finally, the hotel allowed dogs and one was in a room on our floor which was constantly left by the owners. The dog then barked and howled constantly. I mentioned the dog to reception and they seemed to not fully understand what I was talking about. Also, no mini fridge or hot drink facilities in the room. We had to go down in the lift or take two flights of stairs to get a drink from a communal area and then try to carry them back the way we came.

I stayed in this hotel for a wedding elswhere. The room was good. Only I do Not like to shower in a bath. IT was Very slippery And I was afraid to slip. The beds are Nice. The lunch next day was Not so. I had a salad and costs €13,50, to much for Some salad, 2 peaches of chicken, some breadcrumbs and ansjovis. I took also a very long time to prepare all.

This is a beautiful hotel to stay but sadly I had a bad encounter with a rude receptionist who called me a liar after asking for change for the car park.
A male receptionist stepped in to resolve the situation without a problem.
The female receptionist just kept smirking and rolling her eyes! Just rude.
I asked to speak to the manager who basically sided with the receptionist. Waste of time speaking to her.
I then paid €7.90 for a basket of fruit, I had to chase them up for the fruit and when it arrived it was pathetic! Just not worth the money.
I will not be staying here again.

Really humourless staff. That's ok I guess, but on our first night, we (4 couples) gathered outside under a tent with some tables. We were having a drink and using the gas heaters that were there (since we saw other people using them before and there were no signs indicating it wasn't allowed, we didn't see anything wrong with that).
After a while, a staff member came with a really hostile, angry attitude to tell us that the heaters are property of the hotel and we should have asked if we could use them. We asked "can we use them, then?", to which he said no. Then he said that hanging out is not the purpose of the tent, and he said we must go to our rooms, and threatened to turn off the lights on us if we didn't leave fast enough. We would have understood and complied (even if very disappointed) if he had politely informed us of these restrictions, but the guy came as if this was the 5th time he had to tell us to leave, trating us like grounded teenagers. Absolutely unacceptable. Avoid this place.

Perfect team and a beautifull environment. A lot of possibilities, good parking and perfect if you need to go to the city without car. A bus stop within 200 metres, a couple of minutes to the centre of Arnhem
