We were a large 65+ student group that essentially took over the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel was overwhelmed in my opinion but the staff did a great job in spite of that. The rooms were clean but the facility is outdated and the A/C was for the most part non-existent.

I spent only One night (11th July 2015) for the Sarzana Burlesque Festival, this was the affiliated hotel so I decided to book a single room, not really cheap at all. Room was large, maybe too much for One person: 3 single beds in it instead of a double bed as it was supposed to be. Air conditioning barely worked...

Stayed here due to its proximity to Cinque Terre. Rooms a little dated/tired, but clean - included a safe, but had to ask for key at front desk. Bathrooms were clean as well, and had a hairdryer! Stayed in room facing front/street. Nightclub across the street stayed open well past 3 am - could hear bass and chatter during the...

We booked this hotel through Groupon (France) as we wished to visit 'Cinque Terre' on the Ligurian coast and also wanted to visit some of the rural surroundings of Sarzana including the archeological site of Luni. The attractive Groupon deal for two persons offered three nights with breakfasts and one meal, all for 150€. Before buying the Coupons we checked...

We ended up at Sant'Andrea as we were in desperate need of some accomodation in Sarzana that night and this seemed to be the only hotel with available rooms. The location is not fancy AT ALL! The hotel building overlooks a heavily traficked and noisy road and it is next to a gas station. If you are not there with...

In order to get easier to go to Cinque Terre, we changed our previous hotel to Al Sant'Andrea. It takes about 15mins to La Spezia by car, from there take a train to 5 villages. The hotel is very standard, not fancy, but practical. The only thing bothered us was the AC, it didn't cool down enough, I woke up...

We arrived at Hotel Al Santandrea one month too early by accident. Rosanna, the hotel Manager was so helpful, nothing was a problem to help us. We were so embarrassed that we had made the mistake in our haste to make travel arrangements from Australia. She phoned Expedia to rectify the problem, which unfortunately was very lengthy and costly to the...

Very convenient location to southern Liguria and northern Tuscany, pretty close to the autostrada. The town of Sarzana itself was the nicest surprise--lovely downtown! We ate well there for very reasonable prices, and in the summer there was a carousel on the piazza for the kids. The hotel served its purpose. Very helpful front desk staff, nice lobby and a...

After arriving in La Spezia without reservations, we found the hotels filled. Helpful staff at one of the full hotels suggested we try Sarzana, one exit southeast of the La Spezi exit on the Autostrada A12. We were warmly welcomed by the kind and helpful owner/manager Rossana, who arranged a room for us. It was clean, quiet and well priced....

My wife Liz and I came upon Al Sant'Andrea after many hours driving throughout Italy. We were very fortunate as we received a warm greeting from the staff. Rossana was a delight and extremely helpful. There had just been a major storm in the area and she was kind enough to take the time to discuss our alternate routes to...
