After making our reservations online with Chateau des Sablons, our confirmation was sent in the form of a subsequent e-mail containing a 20 page Word document titled "The Concierge Book". The title is misleading, because it's real purpose is to lay down the rules, or...More

We were not amused by this guest. Either the owners or the manager meet every guest. The guest tells us when they will arrive and we arrange to be there for them. These guests arrived 4 1/2 hours late, without calling or notifying us. Next...More

It is ideally situated on the edge of the medieval market town of Bourgueil which is amidst some the greatest castles in the heart of the Loire Valley. The château is perfect for experiencing old-world charm and modern-day activities.

The easiest way is to take the TGV high speed train from Paris' Montparnasse train station to Tours or St Pierre des Corps, a suburb of Tours, and then rent a car. The TGV takes about an hour and then the drive to the Chateau takes about 50 minutes.
You can also take a TGV into Tours and then connect to a local train to Port Boulet, which is the nearest train station.
If you leave Paris around 12:15 p.m., with the connection you get to Port Boulet in less than two hours.
