It's the best hot springs hotel in Tokachigawa. The hot springs is big with different varieties. It's great. The room is very traditional, even though it's dated, it's in good condition. The buffet is unexpectedly delicious, better than most of the onsen hotels in Japan. The check out time of this hotel is 10AM in the morning, bear in mind!

We stayed in the Spa Suite of this hotel which has a in room onsen tube. We had the view of the river and bridge. This was really nice and very relaxing. This will definitely on my visit again list. The room is not large, but it had a private balcony and a private semi outdoor onsen tube that you... More

We only came to the hotel to use the Onsen which is available to the public from possibly 1pm but I can't quite recall if this is the exact time. It may be available earlier. The onsen is in two levels and have different offerings. The lower level has a bubbling spa and still pool as well as a waterfall... More

In the eastern suburbs of the city of Obihiro is the hot spring region of Tokachi-gawa River Hot Springs. The Dai-Ichi Hotel is one of the several hotels along the Tokachi-gawa River with a unique hot spring water called “moor” hot water. Here “moor” means ‘dark peaty soil underground.’ According to the local authorities, the hot spring water in the... More

We specially go out of our driving route to try the special Moor spring onsen. The hotel is lovely and the room looked out to a beautiful serene river and bridge. Sunset watching is an activity here but unfortunately it was cloudy when we are there. The room is a little small for 3 of us on tatami. The onsen... More

We were not sure what else there is to do here in Tokichi when we booked this hotel but the website sure looks good and the idea of onsen as part of the holiday is attractive. I was very impressed by the service provided by all members of the staff. The onsen area was wide and comfortable, and come with... More

One of the best hotel stays I've had. Room was really impressive. We stayed in ones with the private onsen. Also, the kids room was the best I've seen. Hotel setting was beautiful. Food was decent. Staff was helpful. Can't find anything I didn't like about this place at all.

We had a Japanese-style room with open air bath facing the bridge, so the view was good and unobstructed. The open air bath (in-room onsen) was already filled with onsen water when we checked in, saving us the work of having to fill it (which happened in some other hotels). The bath also faced the bridge, offering a nice view... More

We had booked rooms at the Spa Suite Hoshyu-tei and had our own outdoor private onsen facing the Tokachi river and beautiful landscape. The room is very spacious and clean, with a real fireplace too! There is a lounge where you can have access to soft drinks, beer and light snacks. There's also a small library of books and CD's... More

first of all, just take free bus from Obihiro JR station to the Onsen area, about 20 minutes. staff was ready to welcome me. So warm. Breakfast and dinner was included. Good Onsen with fresh air. Also there is van to travel back to JR station in the morning. The view is very good (looking at the bridge and river)
