Detailed Reviews
I only spent two nights in Agaete but it were the best two nights i had in Gran Canaria. I really loved the vibe at the hostel, the interior and the people who work there. It's all basic but done with much love which is exactly all you need.

This is a friendly hostel, mostly for young people, in the upper part of Agaete (a little way from the port). Fairly basic amenities, but all you could need for a short stay, and good value for a reasonable price

Perfect location in a town that hasn't lost it's original charm. If you get lucky you will make great friends and have fabulous weather. It gets busy so there is worn dirty feel to the place, but that's a fault of some of the guests. I recommend it for young independent travellers or those who were once.

Loved my stay at Manipa Hostel. Its very conveniently located next to a bus stop in the centre of Agaete. Love the eco conscious message that is spread and carried out throughout the hostel. The decoration is beautiful. Nice chill, friendly vibe.

I stayed here in the 6-person dorm for 6 nights. The hostel is a rather small, cosy space that has plenty of place to sit and socialize. The roof terrace with a view of the church dome is great when sunny! The staff was incredibly friendly and nice to spend time with while waiting for the rain to pass. The wifi could be a little tricky but it was never too much of a problem. From the hostel the start of hiking paths is just a few minutes away, as is a reasonably well stocked Spar supermarket. To visit the quieter north half of Gran Canaria I would highly recommend this hostel, but it is not easy to base yourself here in order to do trips to other parts of the island unless you have a car.

Room Tip:Â The dorm has bunked beds but everyone has curtains for privacy. A light and outlets at each bed...

Manipa is a very nice and clean hostel. We stayed in a double room for 4 Nights and we enjoyed our time a lot. The Hostel has also a shared kitchen where we cooked our own Food and so we saved a lot of money. The only Problem is that there is quite loud, you can hear every car, but if you take your earplugs with you it wont be a Problem. The staff and volunteers are also very nice and helpful.

Cosy hostel, with clean rooms and clean bathrooms. Price per night seems fair, and I like the eco awareness. Staff is very relaxed too.
Agaete is a good base to discover the northwest of Gran Canaria.

We really enjoyed our stay in Manipa Hostel. We stayed in a double room and mostly enjoyed the nice terrace where we could meet people and hang out. The atmosphere is very good and staff is nice and helpful. Agaete is a nice and not too touristy place on the West Coast.

100% 💛 this is a place for true travellers, the volunteers and owner are super sweet and helpful, the place is clean and charming. Highly recommended! Close to Tamadaba and the sea. If you have time go and check out the winery Bodega los Berrazales, they cultivate their own coffee, quite close to the hostel as well.

Hi Joan, towels are included on private room but not in the shared dorm. You'll see the bus stop from your window ;) It's 10 meters far from the hostel. Thanks and hope to see you soon!!
