For the last 12 years since we found this gem on the island of Mallorca, we have visited on numerous occasions each year. Last year we couldnt and I am sure you know why. We are making up for it by going 4 times this year, yey.

The 18 family rooms and 8 adult only junior suites are superbly maintained, fabulous staff making sure you are enjoying your stay. Adults only have their own part of the estate (with own pool) and then the family side (again with own pool).

Son Marge is located about 3km from what is said to be Europe's 2nd best beach, 30 mins from Palma airport and another 15 mins from Palma center.

A wonderful oasis, quiet, no traffic and easy access to all of Mallorca's natural beauty.

Contact Son Marge's super professional manager Stephanie and tell her Peter sent you. She will greet you with a Mallorcan sized drink. After that enjoy the rest.

We discovered Son Marge by accident and loved it. It is an excellent choice for families and kids-free travellers as it offers separate areas and pools for each. Wonderful facilities. Its quiet, peaceful and relaxing with easy access to beaches, tennis courts and everything you may want. The staff is fantastic. We will definitely go back and it will be out go-to hotel in Mallorca.

We have just returned from our third time at Son Marge. We have realised that sometimes you can fall upon something that exceeds every expectation and is truly superb value for money. The place is very tastefully constructed, immaculately kempt, a complete new wing of junio suites. Two swimming pools. The staff under the superb management of the lovely Stephanie are smiling and always appy to acceed to any request. The feeling is like staying at the lovely villa of your favourite relative. Son Marge is well located to beaches (5 - 10 mins by car), 32 minutes drive from Palma airport. Very little trafic even in August, so no jams or parking problems. Loads of excellent restaurants close by, small charming ports within 30 min drive. Excellent part of Mallorca. This is a true GEM

Son Marge is everything and more as it states. The overall place is beautiful. All the staff are friendly and helpful, big thank you to Jose she was amazing. Breakfast was included in the price and was the perfect start to the day. We stayed in the El Caseto which is also known as "The garden room" it was a great place with a private entrance and terrace. There are plenty of things to do around Son Marge for adults and children alike. Table Tennis, 18 hole grazy golf, swings/park area, there are 2 pools one being for adults only, the main pool has toys and floats for the kids, there is a fabulous Jacuzzi, a tennis court and a farm area.

Peter R's review on 30 Aug 2012 encapsulates everything I'd like to say about Son Marge. It is a lovely hotel, with friendly staff. it is very good value for money. We stumbled across this hotel when our booking on a nearby hotel fell through. We arrived ahead of the check in time but we were given a drink and home made cake and shown to our room. We ate two evening meals at Son Marge. There is usually a 3 course menu, with choice of 2 starters and 2 mains + dessert for 20 Euro. We had a lovely bottle of Majorcan wine for 9 euro and were given a large liquor. On Thursday evening Son Marge do a BBQ eve with wide choice of meats, salads etc plus wine and Sangria for 22 Euro per person. This was fantastic value for money. The food and drink were very generous. I believe they do a paella eve too. Son Marge is close to Ses Salines and Colonia Sant Jordi. There are some excellent beaches nearby but we chose to stay and lounge around the pools. There are 2 pools, one is adult only.

Lovely Appartment Resort. Small and we'll off the beaten track with a small number of suites for families. Shallow pool for young children, tennis and mini golf. Large group meals (all guests invited) a few times a week. Small bar, but not too much in the way of arranged entertainment. Relaxing and safe. Also ponys and chickens to feed. German speaking - mainly

My family and I have been going to Son Marge for about 6 years. We go 1 - 4 times per year. Why? Simple, it is fabulous. Maintained superbly to the smallest detail. The owners (Family CERDA OLIVER) spare no expense on keeping the place at optimum levels. Just fitting a very expensive wifi/internet system which will be free to users. Stephanie and her excellent team make sure that every client's wishes are immediately dealt with. A true family team (even the employees behave like family). Lovely grounds, 2 pools (one adult) easy access to one of Mallorca's best beaches. Lots of restaurants in nearby villages. Going again in August and October, YEY.

Back at Son Marge. Now beginning to feel like home from home. Manager Stephanie is due to have a baby any minute but cannot be taken away from her other baby, namely Son Marge. She and her team have managed to not only maintain the fantastic standards, but actually start to add new services to them. The staff are a delight, nothing is too much. Toni the owner and his son Raphael, both hands on at the finca have a team of employees that are like family. They work incredibly hard, many multitasking. The "Finca" is manicured to perfection, lovely greenery, plants & flowers. The property is pristine, tranquil. Fantastic for either young families or adults (there is a separate building with 8 fabulous suites and it's own pool for child free relaxation). This side of Mallorca is is quiet, little trafic, good restaurants and the finca is 10 mins by car from one of the best beaches on the island.

“Not a great hotel if you want to sleep!”

We planned to stay for up to a week at the hotel but very wisely decided to only book two nights before committing to further nights. We arrived late at night on a very hot day, the hotel smelt musty/damp. It was all rather dark and dingy in the corridors; The windows are not sound proofed, combined with the poor aircon meant very little sleep.
Next morning breakfast was the only thing that could reasonably be called a highpoint; lots of it and seemed good quality. We were in the process of asking for a room change (which they readily agreed to) when we decided to call it a day and check out! The staff were very polite and helpful.
We had already paid for the two nights but were so glad to be out we weren't willing to fight them for the money! We then went and checked into another hotel and went on to enjoy our stay ,
