I arrived in Villafranca Del Bierzo somewhat the worse for wear from some very tough days on my Camino. The welcome from my hostess was very warm and sincere and she took pity on this weary pilgrim. My bedroom was lovely, full of character and well-appointed - with a wonderfully powerful shower. Breakfast was fine - not great but adequate.... More

I visited this beautiful hostal while walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. My stay was short but very pleasant. Spotlessly clean room, very comfortable arrangement to get a great night's rest. Most impressive was the hospitality. I arrived a bit early but the room was ready, the innkeeper (Pilar) had already taken my bag up to the room, and everything... More

A very pretty historical boutique style Inn. Our hostess was the most gracious, generous and caring person we met on our journey. The rooms are quaint clean and quiet . Breakfast was amazing, Cafe con leche fresh fruit, hugs from Pilar when we left. I can't say enough about this place.

We stayed here while walking the Camino. When we arrived the lady who greeted us was so lovely. She gave us a bottle of lemon water and carried our bags to our room. She would not let us carry them. She couldn't do enough to help us. She did our laundry for 10€. Breakfast was at 8am but again this... More

This is a most enjoyable place to stay. After a hard days walk on the Camino we were greeted by the lady owner who handed each of us a bottle of lemon barley water fresh from the fridge. No lift but our bags had already been placed in our rooms which were just lovely. She could not do enough for... More

It is our 12th day on the Camino and we arrived quite exhausted after a consecutive tough day's of walking on a strenuous route to Villafranca in very hot conditions. What a delight to be greeted, welcomed and showed to our room by the owner despite her hosting lunch in a bustling dining room. She happily ran downstairs again to... More

The staff were very friendly and helpful with local sights. It was very comfortable even though the rooms were small, but we did have a lovely little balcony to enjoy the sunshine and there was also a lovely private courtyard available. Excellent meals both dinner and breakfast. Enjoy and Bon Camino!

This hotel was perfect. The owner is amazing. We were traveling the Camino and we arrived after a very hot 24km and the owner handed us each a bottle of lemon water and insisted we rest before doing the official check in and he promptly showed us to our rooms. The rooms are exactly as depicted on the website and... More

What an outstanding boutique style place to stay! After an exhaustive day on the Camino we were greeted with a warm and friendly attitude, shown to our room , bags there and a refreshing bottle of lemon flavored water. On top of that dinner and breakfast delicious ,service fantastic and so friendly and our washing done, neatly folded and returned... More

This place is just as you're coming into Villafranca. Lovely inside and out. Our room was clean, as was the bathroom. Enough space for us to spread out a little. Delightful place with character (nicely decorated and such). The host and hostess were very nice. Sadly, we missed lunch and they were closed for dinner that night. But another pilgrim... More
