Spent one night in this delightful hotel with my adult family in April and it was WAY TOO SHORT!! Lourdes is a fabulous hostess, very warm and welcoming. The hotel itself is SO charming, many (all) period features, exquisitely decorated. We could find nothing wrong with it at all. In fact, probably our favourite hotel in all the places we... More

Arrived for a one night stay after an incredible summer storm had just passed through. Situated a few hundred meters from the top car park this beautifully decorated hotel has views over the town and valley. The manager was very friendly and welcoming, giving us a choice of room (all decorated in different styles). Some English was spoken fortunately. Climbing... More

My partner and I enjoyed a couple of lazy days in Albarracin, staying at La Casona del Ajimenez, which we absolutely loved. It's just up behind the Cathedral, inside the old town with incredible views from every room in the ancient old house, and easy access by car to unload. Lourdes, the owner, immediately treated us like family, offering us... More

This was our second visit to Albaracin and Casona de Ajimez with friends. This time the six of us had the hotel to ourselves and we loved the rooms, the garden, the breakfast and Lourdes, our host. Albaracin is the smallest walled city in Spain and one of the most beautiful with plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy. We... More

Everything about this petite, boutique hotel is superb. Its situation, on a ridge just within the castle walls, leads you directly to the tumble of streets of the old town. Lourdes, the proprietor, welcomed us as if friends into her home and showed every kindness. The building old and quirky, has stairs and passages leading to the 6 rooms. Each room... More

The atmosphere of Albarracin is extraordinary. You step right in to a history book. Even though this village has great appeal to tourism, Albarracin is a tranquil place. The hotel is situated in an old building, direct under the castle. It offers great view of the village and the city wall and a lovely garden. The interior is inspired of... More

It almost never happens that you stay in a hotel where almost nothing bothers you. It's by no means the most luxury hotel I ever used. The rooms are rather small and the doorways too low, so that you risk a headache every time you pass one, but La Casona de Ajimez is just very much how it should be.... More
