The hotel was in a good position for both the beach and the centre. Staff very helpful. Good choice at both the breakfast and dinner buffets.
Pool area noisy but this was the school holidays. The beach is much better.

I have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel. I paid £790 for two people no food including flights from the UK which I thought was good value.

Had a great girlie weekend at the Maya. A good 10 mins walk to the front, but that was good because it made us walk ! :) room basic but clean, breakfast brilliant. Pool area small but sufficient. Reception staff extremely helpful and very pleasant....More
Our room was large, nice and clean and with a view to Santa Barbara Castle - and to the sea.
WIFI was only working in the reception - sometimes really slow because the hotel "has to many guests".
Breakfast was OK, but not better.

For €3 you could catch the C6 bus from the airport (upper level, last bus stop before exit ramp). This will take about 20 minutes and stops 100m up the hill from the hotel..as soon as the bus starts going uphill towards the castle, there's a tram station....get off there, you'll see the hotel behind you.
It won't be much slower than a taxi and with the money saved, you can enjoy an extra sangria it two :-)
