The sun moves round the hotel during the course of the day, so I don't think any room would have a balcony catching sun most of the day. And, because of the zigzag design of the building and the fact that the balconies are constructed to give maximum privacy, some would not get any sun at all. Your best option is a room on the marina side, where there would be sun in the afternoon and evening. But do check when booking, particularly as some of the balconies are very small. The rooms are a fair size, and mine had a modern bathroom.

It's the location of the hotel that is the clue. Try to get a room at The Level (1st floor). They are all renovated recently and I think that they all have a balcony. Half of them have the view of the harbour and the rest have a look at the best beach in Alicante. Try to get a room with beach view. For dinner they recently just had a buffet option and that is not recommendable. Try La Taberna del Gourmet instead which is just 2-300 yards away from the hotel.
