We really enjoyed our stay at Spa la quinta. It is a beautiful building with lovely views across the sea, looking down to Puerto De La Cruz. There is mini golf, tabletennis and pool tables (although we didnt use any of these). We stayed in the main building: junior suite with panoramic views. The suite was lovely. Very clean, great views and a little balcony to sit on. We only had breakfast included in our stay. I have listed below a few points we learned on our stay you might find useful if you are looking to stay here. -I would definitely not try to cook a meal in the kitchen but it is fine for simple cold meals. For dinner we hoped to venture into the most local town, Santa Ursula but there is very little there. We did dine at the restaurant next door a few times (Taller de Don Diego Alvarez) which was delicious each time. Instead, as we discovered on our last day, we would recommend going in to Peurto de la Cruz. -A free shuttle bus is provided hourly from the hotel and back again. -The best time to visit appears to be night time when the town comes to life but sunny days are just as good. -Due to its isolation we would probably hire a car if we came again but if you just want sun and full catering in one without venturing any further then I dont think you would be disappointed. -The spa is lovely: peaceful and relaxing (no sauna or steam room though) and is €8per 2 hours if you are staying at the hotel. -The gym is basic and €4 for all day. -There is a bar which serves lunch at midday and has entertainment in the evening -The rooms were cleaned every day and the cleaners were always friendly -When booking, remember this is a private hotel and many shuttles will not drop off directly so check before! If not, a taxi from Puerto de la cruz is about €10.…
Very good location, free shuttle bus to town, very quiet, indoor pool, Sauna, Gym, heated pools, good evening events and very well trained personell. This resort is overall excellent for people who like quality and want to explore the island
Nice views, lots of stairs! Clean rooms but no heating. An extra heater was instaled upon request but they kept unplugging it when we were not in the room and it was permanently cold! The breakfast ist good, but pretty expensive.
Fantastic location and view of the Ocean. Our two bedroom unit was great for three or four adults. The breakfast and dinner buffet was not worth the money they charged. The holiday gala of 90 euros a person was exorbitant!!! Vanessa on the front desk was fantastic. The outside is lacking maintenance repairs to the stucco and sprinkler system.
My family is still on holiday in Tenerife at this hotel. It is hands down the WORST hotel on the island. Unfortunately, we did not completely understand our rights upon arrival. We should’ve rejected the room and demanded a refund right away but after a long travel day we just decided to deal with the hotel in order to make the most of our trip. I would also like to deter people from booking through lastminute.com as they have the absolute worst customer service on the planet. This hotel received 4 stars on the last minute.com website which led to my excitement with booking. THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL! After doing more research later on prior to making the final payment, I actually contacted last minute.com to inquire about swapping out the hotel. After getting the runaround for hours and contacting the hotel directly, I gave up. Upon arrival, I regretted not fighting harder to switch hotels. This hotel is outdated, bug-ridden and just downright horrible. The food is also barely fit for consumption besides the eggs. One of the rooms smelled so bad, the couch was broken and of course...bugs. That room was changed to an equally horrible room. These small ant-like insects and spiders are literally everywhere and I’m certain that we will be taking several home with us because they’ve completely gotten into our beds and luggage. I’m itching all over! Of course, we complained and the maids sprayed once but the bugs came back again in both rooms. I could go on but we’ve made it to the end. I never thought I’d be on such a beautiful island over a holiday experiencing anything like this. WORST EXPERIENCE, LESSON LEARNED, NEVER AGAIN!…
