We were on camino de Santiago but somehow got routed here by our travel agent (who didn’t realize it was 30 min from Gernika). The lobby/entry/dining areas are very nice. The rooms are small and tired. Breakfast buffet was excellent.
This hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are so very kind and helpful. The breakfast is delicious. The front desk manager, Patxi, was incredibly kind and helpful with local information. Our car had broken down and he saved us hundreds of Euros. Well done Gran Hotel Durango!
