Confortable rooms, spotless place. The care and dedication of the owners makes an already amazing place even more special. We stayed for 3 nights and can't wait to go back! We were lucky enough to get great tips during the amazing breakfast that is served with care and a smile. We also had the chance to buy vegetables from their garden, all bio and with the best quality.
Awesome place. Really thought out and clean. Love the kitchen that you can cook dinners in. Also really like the breakfasts served. Highlight for us was Alberto who is so cool. Highly recommend this place!
We recommend this hotel 100%. The view of the Cantábrico Sea is breathtaking, breakfast is delicious and the best part is when you talk to Alberto who is one of the owners. He is delightful. He serves a wonderful breakfast dressed in his basque outfit. The hotel is beautiful, we’ll kept, very clean and comfortable. We would happily come back.
We left Lurdeia with a very big regret, not having stayed longer!! First of all, the owners are incredible people, with a vision and care for nature which is reflected all around the space and details within the house. They are erthrepeneurs and will shared the amaizng journey to create Lurdeia with us for which we are very thankful. They really made us feel calm, in a very peaceful environment and gave us very good recommendations. The rooms have all you need, are extremley neat and the bed is very confortable. Also, we made a mistake with the booking date and they accomodated us anyways with a big smile. The gardens around are really nice to have walks and you are not far from Bermeo, Mundaka and other nice towns to visit. Breakfast was all bio and with a great view! Thank you very much. Eskerrikasko y hasta muy pronto!!!…
Beautiful place. Great view of the ocean and surrounded by nature. The staff is very friendly and make you feel like home. Love the eco hotel concept and the staff great appreciation for the environment. Alberto was a great host. Enjoyed the walks and visits to the greenhouses.
Lurdeia has something special. It is worth a visit 100%. You can find calm and serenity, and the staff is very warm, welcoming and authentic. Besides that, the business is eco-sustainable to the point where the main house consumes less energy than our fridge at home. Incredibly well maintained as well.
Lurdeia is not just a place to logde while travelling around, but it is an inner experience to the roots: the earth, the sun, the wind and the water. Located on the mountain, the see looks endless at the feet of Bermeo, and the sky offers us orange sunrises and shiny starry nights. If you need to get away from the loud cities, crowdy mornings and the fast industrial way of living, this is your place.
Far from the madding crowd is this hidden gem on top of a priviledged scenary with stunning views over the biscay bay and the city of Bermeo. The hotel is a cosy replica of the characteristic Basque "caserio" but equiped with the confort of a modern hotel with clean and espacious rooms, parking facilities with plenty of space, a "Txoko" or comunal kitchen tipical of the baske culture and a large garden where you can relax (if the weather allows). The breakfast is more than excellent with coffe or tea, bread, olive oil, organic and home made cheese and yogourt, apple pie and freshly squeezed orange juice. But the most surprising thing is to see the owners of the hotel dressed in typical Basque costume of the peasants while they are attending and talk with the guests during the breakfast. Reallly nice to find such a attentive and involved management in making the guests feel like at home.…
on arrival ir was light, bright and warm. very welcoming. dog friendly. the atmosphere was superb. Staff were friendly. Menu varied and plenty of variety. It was served attractively and the hot food was hot. The portions were large and I was given a doggy-bag to take some of mine home.
Caring and helpful 5 "brothers" take good care of you, very friendly and helpful. We just happened on the place and were lucky to get a room on the fly, ended up staying a second night. Hi guys? Remember us? The Californians (wife was the vegan) who stayed in September. Thanks for a wonderful 2 days. Plan to be back next time we're in northern Spain.
