This place is unreal! Cant wait to go back. Great people, spectacular place- great little bar! Close to town for a fun time. Very intimate and private. Being there makes you feel like royalty. Rooms are beautiful.

We used to have a home in Barbados so it is nice to return to catch up with friends. We are looking for a home from home and have tried several rentals since we sold but none are as nice, efficient and clean and well furnished as Port Ferdinand.
This with an excellent fine dining restaurant and a lovely casual dock dining experience make it a current first choice.
We would wish it was a little further south being slightly remote from our social centre in Holetown. But that is personal. This is a great spot and we will 100% return – probably this year.
Highly recommend.

This place is breathtakingly beautiful. It has a very modern and clean look. The rooms were to die for! Nikki Beach was just a short walk away and the pool and resort grounds were immaculate. Although I did not use the spa during my stay I did tour it and it was absolutely beautiful. My villa was very open and it had such a calm and relaxing feel. Furnishings were all up to date and the shower and bathroom were my favorite. All of the employees around the property were nothing short of amazing. Would highly recommend this property and can’t wait to stay again.

If you want that little piece of quality and privacy then Port Ferndinand should be on you list of places to stay in Barbados. It is further north then the famous St James area but St Peters is fast catching up. Cin Cin has just opened their new restaurant here, you also have the "Fish Pot" that is most definitely worth a visit in addition Port Ferdinand have just relaunched their own 5* restaurant. As for the apartments they are wonderful you want for nothing and you will not find bigger on this Island. The only minus you will find the fantastically furnished balconies are in the shade for almost the whole day. However you do have the Island in the center of the mariner that have a bar serving food and drinks all by the lovely pool. These apartments also come with a daily maid service so it is as close as you can get to a 5* hotel. A return visit is highly on the cards.

Accommodation is the BEST... beautifully furnished and very spacious. We booked a one bed apt.. we had 2 bathrooms, very large kitchen and dining room, utility and huge balcony. The furnishings were extremely nice and the whole place was immaculate. Our balcony overlooked the marina.
Although when we stayed there, the resort was very quiet this suited us. The poolside bar was great, good quality food and the on site restaurant 13.59 was amazing... the chef there at the moment has a huge following in Barbados and consequently you probably need to book a table.
My only criticism were the reception / concierge girls... could have been friendlier and more helpful but I think that is the Bajan way... like to pretend they are busy whilst surfing the internet!! My opining is that they were particularly lazy and wanted to do the absolute minimum for the guests. It was almost like a challenge to get them to do something.
Anyway, we would definately return because the positives out weigh the negative

Dear Elaine Thank you for taking the time to review Port Ferdinand. It was a pleasure having you stay with us and we are pleased that you enjoyed our resort, the facilities and the restaurants on site. Very well appointed apartments , well furnished but with very little Caribbean about them. The buildings themselves overlook a nearly empty marina and are more Palm Beach than anything else. Half of this development has been built already some 2-3+ years but seemingly little has sold to date as prices are much too high. In the meantime the resort is renting out the apartments on short term lets to help with the cash flow. In many respects the resort offers a good alternative to Sandy Lane except for its location and the lack of a sandy beach just for residents - the only option being Nikki Beach which is not too far but if you are looking for a quiet day by the beach then this is not a good alternative. Speightstown while up and coming is some way removed from the platinum coast so a car rental is a must to move around the island. The only times we visited the resort was dead and there is very little to do immediately on site although there is a spa , yacht and motor boat rentals which are open to the general public. The whole concept appears to be geared to American and / or Canadian guests but Barbados is essentially a British island which means that sales of the apartments will not be easy unless prices drop quite dramatically. There is a good restaurant on site Dockside 1359 and also a snack bar for lunch and drinks run by Gilbert a friendly and efficient local.!! If you are visiting Barbados for a few days then Port Ferdinand is a good option but it is very quiet and there are a number of significant disadvantages compared to resorts along the west coast between there and Holetown and further south on the island.

The resort is beautifully laid out along the marina and just a very short walk to Nikki beach. The Villi is beautiful and open living room/kitchen area. The large balcony overlooks the marina and a perfect shot at the sunset. The staff is outstanding! They go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable and supply anything you need. The concierges are particularly incredible (Hatty is awesome) and makes your trip go very smooth! Great trip and an outstanding place!

I mean, WOW! We booked our family summer holiday with British Airways Holidays. I'll give them a quick plug here as their new website is such an improvement and their dedicated sales team are always on hand should you have any questions or concerns. I fell in love with Barbados a few couple of years back.

Having travelled extensively around the Caribbean, Barbs is the spot for me. I have stayed at a few hotels on island, but these hotels really are something special and suited our family needs perfectly. We had a two week break, spending the first week at Saint Peter's Bay and our second week at Port Ferdinand Luxury Residence. Both hotels are part of UNNA Luxury Resorts. For couples, families, groups or singles, these hotels really are something so special. The accommodations are some of the best I have experienced, world wide!! The level of detail, furniture, quality and offering was just such treat. Saint Peter's Bay is more the resort hotel, located on the beach and our three bed luxury ocean view doing just that, we even had a hot tub on the balcony for good measure. On arrival you are supplied with essentials; bread, milk, cheese, waters, teas and coffees, if you need anything more the concierge team are on hand to get you anything and everything you need.

Port Ferdinand is a little further up the coast and makes up a Marina where ultimate privacy is guaranteed. It is not located directly on the beach, but a private walkway will get you there in 5 minutes or you can use the private boat service to the beach at Saint Peter's Bay.

I honestly cannot praise both hotels enough!! The staff, the facilities, the food, the WINE, the security, the peace, the privacy... If you want your luxury private home away from home in Barbados then look no further. I cannot wait to go back!!

Keep up the EXCELLENT work UNNA, soon come back!

From start to finish your needs are taken care of. The resort is beautiful with an amazing location. The service is unmatched and all your requests are carried out perfectly. We had our own private dock where we were picked up for activities such as turtle tours or for when we needed water taxis to take us to different locations along the coast line. The Quarterdeck restaurant located on the property is the perfect place to have breakfast before starting your day. You will not be disappointed with your stay here.

Hello Is there a grocery store nearby? and what restaurants near by?
Answer from Michael J
Hope Island, Australia368 contributions311 helpful votes
There is a luxury restaurant open in the evening within the complex plus a pool snack bar open during the day. Further details can viewed on their web site. The nearest grocery store is some 3+ kilometers away in Speightstown and it would be advisable to rent a car during your stay as this resort is somewhat isolated. There are other restaurants nearby but walking there is not a realistic option.

The importation of all tobacco products into Barbados is in principle illegal and payment of duty will be imposed on the products which means that it makes more sense to buy all tobacco products locally. Cigars are readily available on Barbados including Cuban cigars. This is my understanding of the current situation.

Hi there, Thank you for question. I am delighted to assist. Please kindly advise me of your confirmation number so I can check the home assigned to you to see if this is possible. Thank you. Port Ferdinand Resort Team

Hi there, Please contact our reservations team on +1 (246) 439-5540 directly so they can advise you if this is possible. We would suggest a two bedroom home at Port Ferdinand would be the most suitable if you are travelling with a 17 year old. We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to Barbados. Kind Regards Port Ferdinand Resort Team
