Dimitrios, Kostas and Theodore run a wonderfully relaxed hotel. We returned this year and we’re welcomed like old friends. Our first dinner was as fantastic as we remembered- tsipoura (local fish), a lovely garlicky tzatziki, Greek feta salad (of course), pork souvlaki, fresh bread & olive oil. All washed down with the delicious white wine the family make on their own farm - they also make their own olive oil. We’ll be coming back here whenever we visit Greece!
We had a super stay + were really impressed by the friendly service, quality of cooking + the location with both a pool + the crystal waters to choose from. If your looking for a simple, good value holiday in Greece would certainly recommend!
Lovely hard working family with a lovely hotel. The location is perfectly quiet and suitable for working remotely. The view (sunrise) will be one of the greatest things which you will ever see and the kitchen is tremendous. We’ve stayed here for two nights and I can’t remember the last time I’ve slept so well. Definitely coming back
We had another really great holiday at the Lido, thanks to Dimitris, Kostas and all the staff! The hotel is small and unfussy, tucked away in Melissi, but when you arrive you meet the very friendly staff and walk into a lovely open dining room, veranda and pool area, with a fantastic view over the Corinthian Gulf. We had breakfast and dinner by the pool every day - a lovely breakfast, and the evening menu involved delicious local fresh fish, other Greek specialities and their local white wine is excellent. The rooms are spacious with mostly excellent views of the Gulf. We enjoyed the view, the service and the food immensely, having a very relaxed holiday at a good price, just what was needed!
Staff are super friendly. Free paddle boards and free windsurfing made this place exceptional!!! The beach is great but the sea is immense. The food is outstanding too and the local beer and wine is top notch! Just a great great place. Room was absolutely fine
Simple but friendly hotel. the room was nice and clean and the bathroom just renovated. very cute restaurant on the terrace, near the pool and on the bay. Somehow a feel good place and ideal for children
Reality was lower than the expectations, it did not correspond to the reviews. Lower pricing, more reasonable is needed. It would be more fair to anticipate what to face objectively, rather than visiting and getting lower amenities. Also, a kind suggestion: please make the restaurant prices more approachable, this would definitely bring more customers, either in-house and externals, as the food is quite good.
We had a wonderful time in this charming little seaside hotel. With access to a private little beach you are can take a swim in the sea with only a few steps from your room. For those who prefer there is a also a pool. The staff is very attentive and engaged. The whole hotel is in perfect order and very well kept and tidy. You will find a lot of attention to the tiniest details. The rooms were all very nice. You can drink and dine with a perfect view of the Isthmus or Corinth and the Parnassus mountains. Historic sites like Mycenae or Ancient Corinth are less than an hour's drive away. Even a day trip to Nafplio for shopping is possible. Even Athens is only about an hour away. There is a very fast and convenient well-built highway close by taking you in all directions quickly. Stand-up paddles are for free and there also is the possibility to book a day trip by motorboat to beautiful beaches starting directly in front from the hotel. All the staff is exceptionally friendly and uncomplicated. You will feel welcome right away. We can only heartily recommend this little gem by the sea! Note: we traveled during the pandemic 2020 and we found that everyone here adhered very strictly to high hygienic standards. Employees wore masks at all times and everything was very clean. We felt very safe here.…
In one word: fantastic. Lido is a place where you feel like you are welcomed not only as a valuable customer, but mainly as a friend. Greek hospitality as its best! Despite loving discovering new places, I end up coming every year for a least a week. Rooms are confortable and clean, restaurant serves very good food and you get to discover home made products (try the home made wine!). Plenty of activities on site (I recommend boat tours) and around (treks, wineyards....). I give it 6 out of 5 stars :)
My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Lido Hotel in Melissi. We really couldn’t have asked for better hospitality from the staff. Very warm and friendly, family run hotel that we were sad to leave. Take the boat trip with Dimitri, it is well worth it.
