Great Hotel! The absolute best hotel that we've ever stayed. The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was outstanding, and was even better than the picture that was on the website. We loved the restaurant and the food. Also, I spent a day touring the rose garden and the grounds and was simply amazed at the beautiful scenery. Plus the history of the hotel was awesome! We had an amazing time and will definitely visit again.

Everything was great. We were able to check in early, and spent the day walking around the beautiful estate buildings and property. The hotel has walking maps available and we took advantage of that. We ate dinner at the in house Italian restaurant. Nothing incredible or life changing, but the meal was good. After dinner we spent the rest of the evening in the lounge, which was great. Breakfast was incredible! Probably the best we have had at a hotel in Germany. Being able to eat on the beautiful terrace was a plus.

An impressive hotel, where you do feel like you are a prince / princess from XiX century. The hotel is nested inside a wide park/ golf. It is entirely furnished with antiques, and all walls are layered with paintings. You have the impression that not much has changed since the impress last came there. Nevertheless every modern amenity is available. Each room is very different from the other. All of the ones we have tried through years are classy and extremely comfortable. Breakfast is just amazing. Staff is the epitome of excellent service.

I loved the historic touch, a castle hotel with beautiful antiques, friendly staff, nice restaurant and bar. The food was good and exceeded my expectations considering we were in Germany. Pity, I did not have enough time to visit the garden. Next time!

This is a spectacular place to stay for the history and the wonderful experience of staying in a real castle. Furnishings and decor are authentic, setting in a beautiful forest is relaxing with wonderful views, and there is a superb breakfast in the beautiful restaurant. Everyone working there was pleasant and spoke English which was helpful for us. We stayed here a few years ago before Christmas and it was magical, so we were happy to stay again. The easy drive to the Frankfurt airport makes it a great place to stay before flying home.

We stayed in the hotel for a family gathering over the weekend. The experience was absolutely amazing and we are all looking forward to come back soon. Despite the building being an 1880 exquisite piece of architecture, the interiors are extremely well taken care of, fully renovated and high attention has been given to every detail in each room. Everything is very clean, the personnel extremely kind and the gardens are a great place to spend a quiet time. The pictures of the rooms we found on different booking sites, including the hotel site, are not reflecting the reality. The rooms are much nicer than in the photos. I was expecting small crammed and over decorated rooms, instead I found everything very elegant and spacious .

What a gem! Beautiful historic castle turned into hotel. Super friendly staff- very accommodating and eager to assist any need you had. Large welcoming living room area with small fire and comfortable couch and chair sitting areas. We did not eat in the main dining area however ate in the less formal living room - a bit pricy for what we ate but the ambiance was worth it! We were upgraded upon arrival and WOW! Beautiful suite with all the amenities we needed. Very spacious!! Only concern was related to temperature in room. We did sleep with the windows open due to the heat but we enjoyed the fresh air and did not report the concern I highly recommend this beautiful hidden gem!!!

The castle was transformed into a high-end resort hotel, with its own golf course, horse grounds, and rose garden. The lobby is a terrific place, with a huge main salon with many sofas and tables to allow several groups to be meeting at the same time. The reception desk is a small area to the side – almost like an afterthought. The guest lift is very small – the staff and bell service obviously use a service elevator. All the rooms use the heavy metal keys. The room we had was in the attic area, so when we reach the top floor, we then had to take a flight of stairs to get to it – and there were only two of these in the entire castle-hotel. And it is huge. You enter into a long foyer with the minibar cabinet on the left and the primary work table at the end, which has the command center console for making calls, getting information, booking seats, checking on the bill, etc. The foyer led to the large living room area through two hallways, with its own fireplace (believe it or not!), a TV set, sofa, several Victorian style chairs and a coffee table. Plus an exquisite eight-foot tall wooden cabinet that was just there for decoration – ha ha ha. The living room then led to the cute and tiny bedroom, where you had decent clothes storage in two places. The bedroom, with its own temperature control system, had nice pillows and thick down comforters. All the walls – in the foyer, the living room, the bedroom – had classy wallpaper covers. The bedroom then led to the large T&B area. It had his and hers sink and a large tub in the main area. A sliding door separated that area from the shower and toilet bowl. Because it was the attic, some of the walls had sloping sides which made for some unique design aesthetics. We had some difficulty in controlling the temperature, which required us to call for assistance twice, first when it was too warm on the first night and when it was too cold on the second night. There was also no coffee machine nor an electric tea kettle which meant we couldn’t make coffee in the room even if we had our own coffee powder. They had a special (read, expensive) tasting dinner with wine pairing based on the asparagus theme (which had just come in season). That was lovely, with the hotel chef showing off what he could do with the almighty vegetable. Breakfast was in a nearby room, which had great atmosphere. Buffet breakfast fare was quite decent though they had no separate egg menu or station. But they had everything else including cantaloupe, mango and strawberries in the fruit section that we didn’t see in the other hotels. The hotel had several designated walking paths up to 2KM and we took one of those walks on the first evening. Staff service in Schlosshotel Kronberg is amazing. They have very young people who are all very polite, friendly and very helpful, from reception (they were eager to see us to our room), to the breakfast wait staff, to the special dinner staff, to the people who checked on our room’s temperature.

This hotel is where dreams are made and memories sealed. The hotel is a beautifully refurbished and the suite was amazing. The view from room was stunning. Every staff in the hotel is genuinely eager to serve and pleased. Special mention to Ruth who went out of her way to assist us in every way during our stay. The Castle restaurant served too-notch food with Michelin star quality. We can’t wait to be back and share our experience with our friends

the castle exterior and interior are spectacular. Well worth the experience. The room was nice size, but windows were small (despite booking a Grand View room... What view ?). Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was modern and excellent. The only problem was that heating is central and our room was overheated to the point of discomfort. Room has a thermostat, but even at lowest (19C) setting, the room stayed very hot. We could only sleep by keeping the (small) windows open. We checked out after 2 nights and into a boring modern hotel instead... Dinner at the castle is spectacular both food quality and ambience, but very very expensive. Be warned.
