Loved this place, Dunmore East is a gorgeous sea-side town and yes we were blessed with lovely weather for my sister's hen party in May. A large group of us stayed in the Townhouse located up the hill in the village. Beautiful decor, lovely rooms. Katherine in the Strand Inn could not do enough for us, she was just lovely.... More

I know that in a location right by the beach, you're going to have a bit of a price mark-up. But when you compare The Strand to the Spinnaker up the road, you start to question where they're putting all the extra money. The food is quite bland and they attempt to liven it up using some bottles of sauces... More

Love this place. Love that it's right on the sea. Staff are nice. Pub is busy and full of life and noise. The food is fresh and the fish is great. It's not cheap as pub's go, but the portions are huge! CRAZY huge! If you like onion rings, you will be in heaven. This pub serves the BIGGEST and... More

I have to say I have never posted a negative review and do not do so lightly however I have resolved that it would be an injustice to my fellow travellers not to forewarn them about this hotel. We are a family of four with two teenage sons, (sixteen & seventeen) so I booked two double rooms with breakfast. On... More

We dropped in for a bite to eat and a drink on our way to Faithlegg. It was a Sunday evening and it was quiet. The girl said a combo of very busy two previous weekends, the Leaving Cert, some off to euros too, so it was a bit dead. That didn't take away from our experience. There was a... More

I would highly recommend staying at the strand inn. We had a lovely clean room with fantastic view. Food was excellent. Staff were very attentive. And Catherine was so welcoming and looked after us. Will definitely be back 🙌🙌🙌

Its the second time I've been here in 6 months although this time I stayed over for 3 nights. The room was bright and airy with a small private balcony and the views were excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming as before and a pint outside watching the views in what was fantastic weather is highly recommended. The restaurants... More

We had dinner here yesterday after spotting it while driving through Dunmore East. Food was excellent. We had 2 Adult mains and 3 kids. My wife had what she called an amazing crab salad and I had an equally beautiful lemon sole. All 3 kids meals were wolfed down and I was happy enough with the value. Watching out across... More

We recently stayed here for one night. The rooms were lovely, we opted for a sea view room which had a lovely little balcony as well - such a treat! My husband was able to take photos of the beach/sea. The hotel itself was really nice, great restaurant and bar area and next to the waterfront - spent the next... More

A large group of us had a couple of drinks here in the sun over looking the cove. A beautiful setting, great selection of beers and although we did not eat the food on other tables looked excellent. We will return in the future.
