The staff's English was extremely limited, and thus they were not very helpful on places to go or places to see. Breakfast was okay (we ate outside each day, nice), but the scenery was excellent. Beds could use an upgrade, but the Castle setting is unique, and it has lots fo history.

Castello Valenzino is a medieval hotel with rooms in the main house, in the converted chapel, etc. The views are breathtaking and are matched by the interior charm of the rustic stone walls, floor and jetted tub in the stone bathroom. We stayed two nights in Todi and had our breakfast delivered each morning to the room. The relaxed, at... More

We stayed at Castello Valenzino in June. We booked a suite that included two bedrooms and bathrooms. The place was very comfortable and the staff very helpful. Great value. The downside is that there is no WIFI in the room (you need to take your laptop to the window to get coverage).

When we visited the Castello in April, we decided not to take a car, against the advice of staff at the hotel (bad move). The surroundings are beautiful, and we spent every evening enjoying the views, but the location does mean you need a car to get around. Our decision not to bring a car would've ruined our trip had... I spent three days in the wonderful Castello with my friends in February. We stayed in the apartment Gubbio and it was very comfortable, with a great view... We loved so much the breakfast, that was typical italian breakfast, set in a beautiful breakfast room in medieval style. In conclusion, the apartment was wonderful and we spent a great time there!... A good place to stay, both for the Castello itself and for the region (Gubbio, Assisi etc.). Nice walks possible in the immediate surroundings, for example a bike route to the Tiber River. The nearby city of Umbertide has some good restaurants and many other services of a small regional centre. Our room was clean, comfortable and with free WiFi... More

Nice place but the staff has only some notions of english. Not enough to give some information about walks or things to visit in the neighbourhood. Even a walk that passes under the castle is not known to the staff. The breakfast is good for italians but not good for other people who do not like only sweets for breakfast.... More
