Year 3- We LOVE this B+B! Khris and Jamie know how to do it! Beds are amazingly comfortable, rooms are amazing. Lodge is super clean and homey- Breakfast is delicious- my husband craves the potatoes for weeks. We can't wait to go back!!!!
We had our annual gathering of friends here and the owners (Jamie and Christine) were amazing! They were friendly and accommodated all of our needs. Some of us stayed at their campsites and others stayed in their cozy lodge. If you choose to stay in the lodge they also provide a scrumptious homemade breakfast. The decor of the lodge is outstanding and the rooms very clean. We have already booked for next year. There are trails for riding ATV's and snowmobiles right from the lodge that span for miles. I now want to get a snowmobile and make a trip up this winter. I would highly recommend this gem in the woods to anyone.
We drove up to the inn at 3PM ... an hour ahead of official check-in time and when all the doors were locked with nobody home, we almost left to find other accommodations but we’re so glad we didn’t. We returned at 4PM and were warmly greeted at the door by a lovely and very attentive hostess, Khris. She gave us a full tour of the property while sprinkling in the history of the property, their long renovation process and tidbits about life in the north country for she, her husband Jaime and their two daughters and 5 dogs (who enthusiastically greeted us too). After 30 minutes, we felt like family and this was our home as much as theirs. Later, Jaime arrived and the fun began ... drinks and hunting and hockey stories and lots of laughs. My wife ordered a mojito which Khris made by gathering fresh mint, making fresh honey simple syrup and squeezing fresh limes. My wife who is very picky about her mojito was completely satisfied. Later, Jaime lit a monster bonfire. We then went to our cozy, comfortable and immaculately clean room for a great night’s sleep until the roosters crowed at 0600. That was OK though because a rooster meant chickens and that meant a breakfast with hours old eggs, bacon, home fries, pancakes with strawberry-rhubarb topping and fresh whipped cream. I think there was toast and homemade jam too. Any negatives ... not really. I missed the usual toiletries in the bathroom and the coffee could’ve been stronger to my taste but these are very minor issues brought up just to prove no stay is 100% perfect but this was very close. We would’ve slept better with some AC on a warm/humid night but the sounds of the night with open windows was nice too! We are going back to visit these new friends and awesome, hard-working and entertaining innkeepers!…
We stayed at Deer Mountain from 4 July through 8 July. This place is amazing. So peaceful. Loved the chickens and the fresh eggs at breakfast. The decor is just perfection. The beds are shocking. We were really surprised at how comfy they are and the sheets felt like butter. We all have been to those places with lumpy hard beds. Yuck. Not here. Khris and Jamie do an amazing job taking care of their visitors. If you are looking for antiques Khris can point you in the direction of the locations that normally have them. Coming back in October.
6 of us riding through north New Hampshire on UTVs for 5 days. We were rained on and rode through thick mud all day. We arrived at Deer Mountain Lodge and Chris and Kay jumped into helping us dry our rain gear in their amazing garage bar while preparing excellent cold beer and cocktails. When we retired for bed we slept SO well in beautifully appointed rooms with high quality bedding. Our breakfast at the most welcome table made by Chris was also exceptional. This lodge and it’s owners will be a very big deal soon. Stay while you can secure a spot.
