Such an amazing getaway for my husband and me! The property is stunning, the staff is friendly, the beaches are perfection, and the rooms are spotless. They did a wonderful job on the renovation. Highly highly recommend staying here! Also, Keemi and Markev are such great staff members, they took incredible care of us.
My husband and I stayed at Aurora for eight nights on our honeymoon. Could not have asked for a better experience. Our honeymoon was the best week our lives, so much because of Aurora and the PEOPLE that make this place. Friendly, down-to-earth, lively, helpful, fun, pleasing, cheerful. The food and drinks were incredible. Tip: Get breakfast included! Some of our best meals all week were breakfast at Kitchen Table. Dinners at Kitchen Table and Marella were some of the best we had all week, too. Completely flavorful. The daiquiris and mojitos were the best we've ever had. So fresh. Our room -- beachfront suite -- was superb. Outdoor shower, extremely comfortable bed, and spacious bathroom, and expansive balcony with a fantastic view of the beach. Housekeeping was perfect all week. Views and ambience -- pool, beach, restaurants, lobby, etc. -- were a dream and grounds exquisitely maintained. The layout allowed for plenty of privacy. Tennis, golf, sailing, a tour of the farm/flowers of Aurora were top-notch experiences. All hassle-free and so worth the time. D Richards, the golf club/restaurant, is going to be a hot spot, no doubt. Beautiful yet familiar interior design. Playing golf was one of the best experiences we had all week. Course was awesome. Poolside and beach service were terrific. Sherman, Hakeem, Diana, Zan, Jahmal— just to name a few— were incredible all week. We felt like they became our buds. And it was authentic. Made stops at Cap Juluca and Malliouhana for meals and/or drinks multiple days. Make no mistake, both aforementioned places offered something unique and special. We would have enjoyed staying at either. But each time when it was time to return to Aurora, my husband and I said aloud how pumped were were that Aurora was the resort we had chosen. All of the amenities, service, and beauty you could want and expect, yet true to the serene, unruffled, and natural traits of Anguilla at the same time. We'll stay Aurora again and again. Thank you!!!…
I do not know where to start with this place. From the time we time we arrived to the time we left this place far surpassed all expectations. When we arrived we were greeted by the staff and our personal conceirge Taffy (who was amazing), they upgraded our room free of charge to an Ocean front suite which was maybe 15 steps from the beach. Rooms are updated and anything you needed was provided. I wanted to point out the level of customer service that the Aurora provides, it seems like every person from the landscaper to the waiters and beach attendants went out of their way to make sure everything you needed was provided. We have traveled around the world and this was by far the best staff we have encountered in some time. My wife and I was there for my 40th birthday and it seems like each of the staff knew and provided extra care that day which made my birthday extra special. Taffy was great at one point we just allowed her to pick where we was eating dinner and nothing disappointed. Food and drinks were great. We did eat at only Breezes and Kitchen table but there are other places you can eat as well. I will have to come back once D.Richards opens for dinner. The golf course was amazing, there was really no one playing so I was able to take my time through my round. Kudos to the Aurora staff we will definitely be back for another visit. …
My 5th trip to the beautiful island, and I chose this property for my last two days for relaxation and it was a great choice. I love arriving at a resort, the reception is such a nice touch. At Aurora, the bellman had such a big smile when I arrived, and the lovely ladies at check in were so nice and welcoming. First impression delivered! Everything at this property was fantastic! The energy and the attention of the staff The well maintained property and grounds The large ocean view room with a fluffy comfortable king size bed, ambient lighting, shower with strong water pressure and a big relaxing tub The relaxing beach and pool, no wait for loungers, water, or service….they even took the time out to chat with me The food and entertainment, the lemon ricotta pancakes! I really enjoyed the music and drinks on Sunday evening, as well and the ambiance of the property at night…he waves sound so relaxing in the background I do have a suggestion, it would be great if your robes and gift shop items were size inclusive. Aurora is beautiful, the staff and property. I look forward to returning and I also look forward to seeing all the plans come to life. Aurora! Anguilla!…
I simply can not say enough about this spectacular resort! The suites were immaculate, the views were outstanding, the beaches were pristine! The weather was perfect everyday, the amenities were second to none! The food was outstanding and we loved having access to the five restaurants on site! I must say, the feeling you get when you arrive at Aurora is one of complete Awe and Serenity!! The staff is what made our trip even more special. The people were so kind, friendly and accommodating. Our personal butler Markeve made everything perfect! He thought of things that we needed without us even asking. He was always one step ahead of our every need. Markeve has the sweetest personality with the kindest soul. He was a great addition to our vacation in paradise! To say he catered to our every need is an understatement. Thank you to all at the Resort for making our dreams come true! We will see you again!…
My son and I traveled to Anguilla to celebrate my 50th Birthday. The property is incredible. We mainly used the Beach at the Rendezvous side which was by far one of the best beaches. The chairs are extremely comfortable, and they have a Sailboat on property where their team will take you out. The staff went out of their way to send a cake for me in my room. I would like to acknowledge every one of the staff members. The rooms were very comfortable as well. I can go on and on. This property is beautiful and would recommend it to anyone.
We are currently here enjoying five magical days at this premier resort. We are in slow season and the hotel environment is quiet. The vibe is relaxed, yet refined, and elegant. The renovation is just beautiful with lush landscaping and with newly designed rooms and decor. Our junior suite has the most amazing view of the ocean and the mtns of St.Marten. The beach is second to none. With attentive and friendly service, it is obvious that the smiles from the staff are genuine and they truly enjoy working at this property.
This place is absolutely perfection. My husband and I traveled here for our 20 year anniversary in May for five nights. The water is like nothing we've ever seen - turquoise color hard to describe. The sand is like marshmallows with no debris or seaweed anywhere. And the PEOPLE are amazing. They love their island and it shows. If you want casinos, nightlife and shopping, don't come here. If you want pure relaxation, impeccable service, the most beautiful beach, and kindest people you will ever meet, BOOK IMMEDIATELY.
the rooms are exceptional and the amenities were even better. Great staff too. We enjoyed the restaurants in not only both hotels but also at the Golf Pro Shop restaurant that had magnificent views. Highly recommend.
While promising, the new Aurora has quite a few kinks to work out before they've earned the ability to charge the advertised rate of $1385/night + 20% tax and service for a room on Rendezvous Bay (excluding breakfast). The grounds and landscaping are beautiful, the rooms are spacious, and there have been updates to the bedroom and public space decor. The beach (Rendezvous Bay), as always, is stunning. The team is helpful, friendly, and go out of their way to always greet you with a smile. Unfortunately there are too many missteps that keep this lovely location from being 5 stars. * The bathroom did not have any a/c or exhaust fans (we called 3 times to have this fixed without resolution). * The bathrooms have not been updated in years and still have the fading "CuisinArt" decals on the shower doors. The bathroom fixtures (sink, tub, shower) are all of different patterns and finishes, and do not match one another. Replenishment of bathroom amenities was inconsistent. * Overuse of a strong "signature scent" sprayed in the room that took several hours to dissipate by leaving the doors open. Beware if you have allergies. * The minibar is basically 10 to 12 liquor bottles sitting on top of the desk. It's one of the first things one sees when waking up. * Only half of the dining venues are open on any given evening. The D Richards steakhouse has yet to open. * 25 minutes to have a bottle of wine brought to the table at dinner. * Moldy blueberries, incorrect orders at breakfast. * Food poisoning from breakfast on our last day. * The golf course is not completed. * Spa facilities are not fully functional (steam, sauna). * The beach loungers are heavy and difficult to move. This paired with the bright orange (think Home Depot) construction coolers next to the loungers, means you'll need assistance to reposition your chair. The resort is a solid 4 stars. They are trying hard to make it a world class destination but there is a long way to go. Since they are not on par with some other resorts on Anguilla, their room rates seem aspirational. Aurora needs to either reduce their room rates to be commensurate with the current experience, or they need to significantly improve the quality of their rooms/bathrooms, beach experience, food & beverage, and amenities. Of note, this feedback was provided to the Aurora team via email at the end of March 2022. Aside from 3 responses that they would get back to us, there has been no further response in the two months since our stay.…
