Enjoyed my stay at Neptune beach resort. The staff was friendly and they had awesome food to enjoy each day. The buffet had really good fresh salads and made to order any omelettes, crepes and waffles. The lounge chairs were comfortable and the security helped keep monkeys and crows away from your food BUT don't leave your food unattended or they will get it! The best beach view and entertainment of the locals trying to sell anyone who walks on the beach stuff! Negotiate hard otherwise you can buy somethings at the local Carrefour grocery store cheaper.
The rooms are clean and tips mean a lot to the people (remember they work hard and don't make alot) so if you tip you get great service as you would anywhere. Ask for an ocean or pool view otherwise you'll get a tree view but it's private.
We did not venture out at night outside of our resort but did take a Tuk tuk around during the day.
I would recommend this hotel and nice gift shops too :)

This was the first time to Neptune Beach Resort. The staff are all excellent Danson and Nixon around the pool worked tirelessly in the heat to ensure you had what you needed for the day nothing was to much for these guys. The bar staff Douglas, Gibson, Tobias, Hassan, Frederick were all great they were all a ray of sunshine with a great smile and a happy outlook. This is a small hotel which appealed to us the pool was cleaned every morning and all the leaves from the trees were all swept away and the grounds were clean every day. The grounds were also the play area for a troop of monkeys which gave countless moments of fun watching them play. The trees in the grounds also gave shade from the sun if you wanted to get out of the direct heat. The food was good there was a good selection and always hot. All in all would I return, absolutely looking towards 2 years time. Once again all the staff are excellent but a great thanks to the guys I've mentioned above for making this a memorable experience.

We had several issues to address and requested to speak to a manager about the same, but unfortunately her responses to our queries were not satisfactory at all.

Wi-Fi not working - if it connects, then it disconnects immediately / otherwise it doesn’t connect at all 6. Hot water in the shower is not available after 8am, but before that it is. 7. Bed was totally uncomfortable - 2 beds were joined together and it was not flat at all and had hills and valleys. The linen is barely white and is rough. 8. The linen was only changed the 1st day after we requested and thereafter it wasn’t changed. There is no ‘change my linen card available’ 9. Towels and sheets are dated - they’re barely white and have a rough feel 10. Breakfast buffet had no variety - the pastries all tasted the same, the juice was watered down and nasty 11. Mosquitos in plenty - there was no repellant, neither was there any insecticide 12. Workers tending to the garden speak loudly outside our room window - room 318

Very nice hotel, spacious rooms, cleaned with care and delicacy. (Linen forgotten on the bed, folded carefully) Varied and good quality buffet (grilled lamb, delicious veal liver, breakfast with good pancakes and waffles kindly offered by Ilham). Very clean beach. Decent WiFi Very friendly and engaging entertainment team, thanks to Eric, Angelo and Kalama for these moments of play and laughs. The Neptune Beach Resort is located 45 minutes from Mombasa airport (difficult road currently, under construction in early 2024). We joined our family for our nephew's wedding at the Neptune Beach Resort and it was one of the best wedding ceremony I have seen. I would advice you to contact the resort directly as it would depend on what decor and services you plan to have.
You can go for a walk by the beach at night which is very nice actually and yes there are other hotels near by and you can ask hotel to book u a taxi and u can go out for different restaurants, Tamarind is highly recommended but u need to book
