Our ancient mas rests at the foot of Lussan, one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France. Close to medieval Uzès in the Gard Provencal we are ideally located to explore all this fantastic region offers. It may be the great outdoors, with hiking, biking, swimming and canoeing galore, or you may prefer more cultural or historical pursuits. We are close to the Ardeche, the Cevennes, the Camargue and to cities including Avignon, Nimes and Montpellier. Our gites are a perfect retreat packed with charm and fully equipped. 7 acres landscaped grounds, pool, boules. Le Grenier - two double bedrooms both with bathrooms, a spacious and comfortable living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a mezzanine with sofa bed suitable for one adult, covered terrace. Le Murier, sleeps 2 and has one lovely bedroom overlooking the village. The Bergerie sleeps 2 in a cool vaulted sheepfold. Informal welcome supper à la Provençal on the weekend of your arrival. Fresh boulangerie delivered daily. Over 16s welcome.

This is a gorgeous gîte run by gracious hosts, Kate and Graham. The gîte is. beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Importantly, they are following covid guidelines and even going above and beyond the recommendations. For example, they were only letting out one of the gites while we were there to avoid having too many people in one place. The pool and surrounding garden a wonderful haven from the heat . The notes that accompany the gîte are perfect. They are well-written and accurate for the dining and sight-seeing options available in the area. We particularly enjoyed the apéro evening spent with Kate, Graham, their daughter and pets. It was truly a wonderful week and we highly recommend this gîte.

Our apartment at Mas de la Bousquette was all we hoped for. Kate and Graham have thought of everything to make their visitors comfortable and welcome. Wine, fruit, cheese, sausage and home made chutney waited for us followed by an invitation to a welcome meal with our hosts and neighbours. The Mas is set in acres of rolling countryside at the foot of the village of Lussan, half a kilometre up the road. Stunning scenery and many interesting places are within easy travelling distance - there’s something to suit every taste. Already planning next year!

Le Grenier is the 2 bed gite & was ideal for us & adult daughter. Morning croissants delivered to your door, numerous areas to it sit out (some far enough away to justify a search party if late for early evening drinks), the get together meal on Sunday socialising with your hosts & neighbours, walks up to so, so quiet Lussan & drives out to glorious towns like Barjac & Balazuc all conspire to make for a a great September break. Shock, horror. We return to 17c after 32c. Oh well, here’s to next time. Thanks to Kate & Graham.

Spent 2 fantastic weeks at Mas de la Bousquette. The property was beautiful and the location excellent, allowing us to easily explore the beautiful towns of Nimes and Uzes, the Pont de Gard and the many wonderful local rivers for wild water swimming. What made it so special were the hosts Kate and Graham - great advice for places to visit and restaurants to go to. They provided products from the local boulangerie to the door every morning, invited us and those staying in the other 2 gites to a welcome dinner and were around and available as little or as much as was needed. We will definitely be back.

We’ve just returned from an amazingly relaxing at Mas de la Bousquette. Thanks to the ‘hands off’ hosts, Kate & Graham, for making us and our dog so welcome. The fresh baguettes in the morning were fab. Can’t wait to visit again. Miss it already!

I spent a week holidaying with a group of four friends (in Le Murier and Le Grenier) at the Mas in April 2019 and our stay was all we had hoped for and much much more. It was a taste of real life in the French countryside. Kate and Graham were the most wonderful hosts. Kate was super helpful and responsive in all my email correspondence prior to arriving. We also enjoyed a superb welcome dinner on the second night of our stay. The gites are filled with so much history but have been beautifully modernised and were impeccably clean, tastefully furnished and well heated. Both the terrace and pool area were perfect to enjoy a glass of wine (it wasn't quite hot enough to swim but the pool and surrounds are magnificent). There was extensive local information supplied on iPads in the gites which was an invaluable resource. We loved being able to walk up the short hill to the medieval walled village of Lussan to explore, the local walks and wineries, the Saturday market in Uzes, as well as eating at the selection of excellent local restaurants. In fact we loved everything about our stay and hope to return in the future. Highly recommend.

From cornflower blue skies and the smell of lavender in the air, to the sumptuous king sized bed and perfectly appointed kitchen, we could not have asked for anything more. Kate and Graham were the perfect hosts, offering such a wonderful overview of the surrounding area and producing not one but two delicious welcome meals under a stunning wisteria flooded in candlelight. We stayed in Le Murier for two weeks, which was perfect for the two of us and we shall definitely be returning. We would recommend this enchanted, magical place to anyone who can appreciate a real French experience, with a touch of England class woven in. Thank you Kate & Graham, we feel we have made some true friends. Jo & Steve

We loved staying at Mas de la Bousquette. Our two bedroom gite was the perfect size for me and my husband, plus our two girls. It has a wonderfully equipped kitchen and seating areas galore! One of our favourite things to do was to head out to the deck chairs, at the edge of the property, to catch the last of the afternoon sunshine with a glass of rose in hand. Our hosts were also amazingly helpful, giving us all sorts of insider tips about where to go and what to see! Already planning our return trip :)

We recently spent a week at the Mas with our two adult children and their partners staying in the one bedroom gite 'Le Murier' and the two bedroom gite 'Le Grenier'. This worked out perfectly as the accommodations were linked by a terrace which could be used by either or both gites whilst still giving each privacy. The gites are beautifully furnished and very well equipped with a lovely welcome pack including home made jam and chutney. The grounds of the property are beautiful. The gardens well tended, the swimming pool area clean and inviting and there is a boules court and BBQ area. We had a thoroughly relaxing week visiting small villages and river swimming with one busy day canoeing the Ardeche Gorge which is within easy reach. We normally use our accommodation on holiday as a base but the Mas is so comfortable and relaxing we found ourselves spending more and more time there.

We really enjoyed staying in the gite with the courtyard garden, which was perfect for our little pet dog as he was secure and we didn't need to worry about where he was. Tastefully furnished and spotless gite with everything you could need, and the delicious welcome meal prepared by Kate was a highlight of our stay. Easily accessible to local villages and Uzes which was 25mins drive away, and very peaceful and relaxing. Lovely spacious kitchen and well-stocked honesty larder with essentials. Another highlight were the fresh baguettes and croissants at breakfast. We would definitely return next time we're in the Uzes area.
