A beautiful and welcoming place to stay after a day of hiking. Very friendly and warm staff, beautiful and extremely cozy rooms, and a great mission of being eco-friendly. Great common space as well, along with a gym, spa, and other amenities.

This hostel was absolutely perfect! Edmundo was super helpful in answering all our questions, and arranging transportation, and excursions.
Lots of hikes that you can do around the inn, which is great. I highly recommend the horseback riding tour of the cloud forest!
A wonderful stay in the Black sheep inn. We had a room higher, so you do have to climb a little bit. We had dinner together with all the guests, so you meet interesting people :). Breakfast is excellent as well and the whole day...More

I have traveled both route 1000's of times in 20 years living here. I recommend coming in one way and going out the other so that you can complete the loop and see scenery on both sides. And yes the Black Sheep Inn is... More
