We managed to book the 2 last rooms at this resort & were not disappointed with this choice. From the moment we set foot there, we were amazed by the hotel & surroundings. The facilities & the staff go beyond expectations. This is a once in a lifetime experience. The food is freshly made & prepared from vegetables grown in their own garden. The rooms are sheer luxury.

The service level sets this hotel apart. The staff always went out of their way with their assistance, advice and friendliness in every aspect - guided tours, front desk service and the restaurant. This was our first attempt at taking 2 small kids (4 and 7) on a more "adventourous" holiday, and the glenrock proved to be an excellent choice. The Pahanthduwa waterfall tour with the hotel staff was a highlight with Vithula - apologies if I got his name wrong - being the perfect guide, and a visit to a nearby historical temple and viewpoint was also enjoyed by all of us (big and small). We also managed to squeeze in a trip to Adisham and Surathali falls nearby during our 3 day stay. There were a lot of fun things to do for the kids in between tours, such as visiting the "fish therapy" area and the river adjoining the hotel, wandering around the premises, and a rock pool. There are also other tour options we couldn't try out due to time and the kids (e.g. a 6.00am climb to the nearby Hawagala). The rooms are also excellent, as is the food which was suprisingly above-par for a hotel of this size. Despite the hotel being slightly pricier than other options in the vicinity, I'm giving it a "value-for-money" rating because the free tour options, service level (which starts right from the point you do the booking) and quality of the hotel simply elevated the experience. Totally recommend this as a hotel to try out, especially with small kids.

Hotel is situated in a middle of a village surrounded by paddy field and Belihuloya. The view from the hotel is amazing. We were in a Cabana type room. Belihul oya flows next to the room. Room is well equipped and clean although it’s a wooden. Food is delicious. Only set menus are available. We were not supposed to get both soup and appetizer for dinner since we were in half board basis. That won’t be an issue for full board. Parking is at a separate location. Hotel provides transport from there. It’s a secured place with security. Hotel provides safari to Pahanthudawa waterfall for free. Other safaris like Hawagala, Liptonseat, Babarakanda waterfall are also available. This is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the nature.

Probably one of the best service that you can in an environment in sort of a middle of jungle. Very kind working team , excellent food , close to famous tourist spots in Sri Lanka such as Ella, 9arch bridges , Rawana falls, Adhisham Monastry, nice cool weather in nights reroute to Nuwaraeliya in one direction or Hambantota deep south the other direction. It's truly a heaven in jungle with the service you get. Also I should mention our key logistics provider Re-charge travels possibly best safest and value for money with their staff who really know the area.

About a mile from the hotel, a safari jeep picked us to drive us through the rugged road to the hotel. We were surprised to find that we were surrounded by mountains in the middle of a jungle. We watched monkeys play among the trees and listened to birds while they serenaded us. The hotel was luxurious and very clean. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. One evening the cook and staff prepared a delicious barbecue by the river for us which involved bringing down to the river the tables, chairs and cooking paraphernalia. On another day, they served our lunch on the rooftop of the hotel which provided an awesome view but also involved bringing up the tables, chairs and our meal. We felt very special!
