We were first time staying in il molino for three days. Everything was great, I loved the room was already warm up went I walk in and with amazing view, We also very happy for the lovely breakfast waiting for us in the morning. Highly recommend ! Poon family
From Rafaela’s homemade marmalade’s and croissants each morning to Guidos overwhelming hospitality, this was an amazing place to stay in the heart of Piedmont. Centrally located between Alba and Asti and a short drive away from Barolo and Barbaresco, this is a great home base. The rooms were quaint yet spacious. And the view- AMAZING. Overlooking the Govone country side. Walking distance to the beautiful Govone UNESCO castle and a few small shops and restaurants. There is even a market right outside the B and B on Sunday mornings. We WILL be back!
This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at Il Molino and Guido continues to provide excellent service and accommodations. We are not the only folks who come back to this wonderful property as we met two other couples who were also repeat customers. There is a reason that Guido has developed a following - good food, gracious hospitality and great service!
My husband and I recently traveled to Piemonte and chose this property based on it's location - midpoint between Asti and Alba. Upon our arrival we were met by Guido who welcomed us warmly before showing us to our very spacious and comfortable room. We enjoyed an aperitif with Guido in the evening as he acquainted us with the many districts of Piemonte and what they have to offer. After a delicious breakfast the next morning Guido very kindly made reservations for a wine tasting at a local winery and also made dinner reservations in a lovely restaurant in Govone for us. Our stay of three nights was very enjoyable and we have made plans to return in the Spring.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in November. We loved everything about it! Guido & Rafaella made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Breakfast was delicious with homemade jams, tarts, and cakes by Rafaella. Guido offered eggs, but the breakfast spread of meats, cheeses, breads, and sweets were plenty. Guido is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about wines, food, and activities in the Piedmonte region. His wine tasting and restaurant recommendations were all spot on! We wee lucky to be visiting during the Christmas market, which was located just across the street. Il Molino is situated in a great location, between Asti & Alba and only a short drive to Barolo, Barberesco, and many other quaint villages. The view from our bedroom was beautiful- vineyards, mountains, blue skies- exactly what I picture when I think of Piedmonte. We will definitely be visiting Piedmonte and staying at Il Molino again in 2017.…
