Superb breakfast to set you up for the day! Beautiful view of the Dales. Lovely room, plenty of space. Decent bar. What else could you ask for? We didn't get the opportunity to try the evening meals as we had to be elsewhere, but if the breakfasts were anything to go by, I'm sure they are grand. All being well,... More

This long established dog friendly pub in the beautiful village of Redmire in North Yorkshire is perfect. A warm welcome, great service very good home cooked food and great beers. There is nowhere better for miles around. Highly impressed and thoroughly recommended.

We've stayed here before and once again we weren't disappointed. Lovely food, good rooms, and really friendly, helpful staff. The Bolton Arms is ideally located for exploring Wensleydale. Plenty of nearby walks to places of interest so you don't need the car all the time. Will definitely go back again. Unfortunately, the 2 bigger rooms were booked and the small... More

I went for an overnight stay just on spec as I was working in the area over two days, and was so impressed with the accommodation, service, food and the quietness of the place and the peaceful comfortable nights sleep. I was awoken by sheep bleating and a cockerel crowing. This was a wonderful experience. I'm going to bring my... More

Stayed for one night in Room 1 to attend a local wedding. Room and breakfast were perfect, staff were lovely, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Only regret was that we weren't staying another night and could have sampled the evening menu which looked extremely tempting - hopefully will make it there again and try it next time. Thank... Stayed for three nights over the weekend as a group of 8 well travelled friends, From the minute we walked into the premises, we were welcomed, fussed over and spoilt. My wife and I had room 1 which was very clean. comfortable and was of a very high standard. Every evening meal was excellent. Always hot, well presented Good sized... More

Stayed as a couple with an elderly relative in tow because of the ground floor rooms - ideal for those with limited mobility. Rooms extremely comfortable if a tad on the small size (but no problem if all you want is somewhere to crash out in at the end of the day), lovely breakfasts cooked to order and a very... More

Booked to stay two nights as a birthday treat for the other half. Good base to see the dales with two lovely meals and enjoyed the breakfast if on the second morning my poached egg wasn't well done like I'd asked for on the pre order sheet which you hand in to the bar the night before.

Lovely friendly real ale pub in beautiful location . We walked to Castle Bolton climbed to the top of the parapets for awesome Dales views then returned hungry to a home cooked meal with delicious desserts and a good nights sleep. Breakfast was freshly cooked with juice, fruit salad and plenty of choice. Went to Leyburn market next day and... More
