Popped in on the way to see the father in law for a bite to eat and a cold drink as it was so hot out. Was pleasantly surprised by the choices on the menu and ended up choosing one cheese sandwich and one steak sandwich. Both were equally delicious and very filling. Both meals and drinks came to just... More

Always stop here for a bite to eat and a drink with my boyfriend. Never disappointed with the beer or the food. Beautiful, rustic pub with a quiet setting. The fire is the perfect setting for a drink and a chat when you are catching up with old friends. The landlady is so lovely... We just can't stay away!

Well simply put, for what you get for your money you will not be dissappointed! First class service from start to finish. Upon arrival they handed my key and I was happily directed with a smile to my room which was liad out and presented to me in a magnificent manner, with an en-suite bathroom which was nice and clean.... We booked a table for my husbands birthday and a group of us went for a meal out. We took a cake in before we all arrived later for the staff to bring out after our meal. All of our starters and mains were fantastic. Great quality and quantity! One of us was a bit disappointed at the small amount... More

First the good points, fantastic evening meal, in rustic bar, cosy fire, nice beer. Room clean tidy and spacious. Great woodland walk across road, ample parking and tidy frontage. The bad points, poor service and poor breakfast first day, although second day, totally opposite. Host questioned did not know bringing dog, but clearly detailed on confirmation. Had no reply to... A lovely, athmospheric old pub from 1540's. Excellent service. Food was also good, loved especially the breakfast. Rooms were spacious and cosily furnished, but unfortunately shabby. Bed wasn't that comfortable, and you could hear the conversation in next room a bit too well. A bit too pricey for that. Would go again, but just to the pub.

Called with friends for an evening pre-Christmas meal. The roaring fire in the traditional lounge was very welcoming and there is an excellent menu in both the pub and restaurant areas. Friendly and efficient service, with a good range of local ales and so on. We call every time we visit the area, so would clearly recommend.

We went to the Leagate for a birthday meal. We went on a recommendation to try a speciality that the inn is well known for. It was a whole roast suckling pig shared between 12 of us a £20 per head. The food was perfectly cooked and presented, the staff were very polite and attentive. All in all a lovely... More

Eight of us met up for lunch and were warmly welcomed by very friendly staff. Great menu and enjoyed the beer too. We had a selection of the open sandwiches which were very filling. Will def' return again and will try the full menu for either lunch or dinner but will need to make sure we are hungry. Dog friendly... More

A lovely hotel, set in the Lincolnshire countryside, technically it is at the end of the runway of RAF Coningsby, but apart from the odd car it was very quiet. The rooms were spacious, we were east facing and the sunrise was gorgeous. There is a lovely spacious well maintained garden. The older part of the inn is very homely... More
